Butler Bulldogs
Connecticut Huskies
Drake Bulldogs
Georgia Bulldogs - Opening Round
Georgetown Hoyas (I guess a "Hoya" must be a Bulldog)
Gonzaga Bulldogs
Mississippi State Bulldogs
UMBC Retrievers (I'd never heard of them before  ;) )

Drake, I concur. I thought I knew some obscure college nicknames, but UMBC was not one of them! That being said I love their name and the logo. I am now on the Retriever band wagon!

Willie, What's papa Wonka have to say about the CORD hiring?

Sum, unless UMBC can pull off a "Belmont" for 40 minutes instead of 39 minutes, today might be the last day you can ride the Retriever bandwagon.  As the 15th seed they've got the #2 Georgetown Hoyas.  Dang, I forgot the Hoyas use a Bulldog as their mascot/logo.  I'd better make them honorary members of the Dawg club.  ;)

Actually, 39 minutes and 48 seconds!  So-o-o-o close to the biggest 'egg' ever for Duke!

Unlike some posters, I have no particular animosity for the Dukies - I just love extreme underdogs (unless my team is the favorite, of course! ;)).

Alas, it's looking like the first major upset victim may be Drake - down 15 with 10 to go.  I imagine there may be great gnashing of teeth on the IIAC board.

Mr. Ypsi

Alas, that was the thought of W. Ky. as well - Hilltoppers win on a 3-pt buzzer-beater in OT.

Ouch, rough run for the Dawgs Drake.

Sure was, & it doesn't get much easier.  Out of the 3 Dawgs still playing, the only one favored will be Georgetown against Davidson.  Miss State vs. Memphis, & Butler vs. Tennessee don't look real promising.

Nothing against Duke, & forgetting all the past crap associated with Bob Huggins, but... ;D ;D that was a sweet win by West Virginia against Duke this afternoon!!

No way Mayo is top 4 seed (OK, they might sneak in). Seeds will be posted by 11 this morning.

1. Tonka
2. Sibley
3. Burnsville
4. St. Cloud Tech
5. Mayo
6. Cooper
7. Kennedy
8. Cambridge

I got Tonka, Sibley and Tech right. How does a team that is the third seed in their section get a three seed?

Here comes Mississippi State!

Seriously, does anyone else have Villanova and Davidson in their Sweet 16? Cuz, this guy does! I also had Siena over Vandy and San Diego over UConn. Then again, I did have Baylor and Indiana winning (only one game). I also missed out on Marquette over Stanford and Notre Dame over WSU.

Western Kentucky, anyone?

Happy Easter to all.  ;D  I heard a fairly reliable coaching rumor today but I cannot divulge it just yet.  It will come out here in the next couple of days.  It involves the assistant coaching position at CC.
