Brett -- You suck at shooting, the only reason your field goal percentage was where it is was because none of your made shots exceeded 5 ft.  Some of us were happy to be role players and help our teams, but based on your recent self-promoting post I have to believe you are living in denile.  You only lead your team in field goal percentage your junior year, and you averaged 4.6 pts and 4.2 boards.  I feel extremely stupid punking Wippler when he had a better shooting percentage his freshman year than you and it was your senior year ( .642% to your .598%) Oh yeah and he played in 20+ games and had close to 50 fga.  Your 3.5 ppg and 3.8 ppg in your frosh and soph years were not that impressive, but that's ok because you... wait you didn't have the team leading field goal percentage in either of those years.  Not surprisingly you are not in the top 10 in any of the major stat categories for your career, except you managed a tie for 10th place in career steals.  I feel terrible belittling your career that was far more glorious than mine, but I am at peace with my role and it concerns me that you aren't with yours.  Oh yeah, and don't say 'thanks for playing,' it makes you sound like even more of a d*ck than you probably are.

Mr. Hatteberg - Aye, your seat at the end of the bench - behind a kid who got cut from his high school team - gave you a good view of my shooting skills, or lack thereof.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

It sure did, and that kid who got cut from his high school team has better career numbers than you in 2 years vs. your 4.

Miggy - Keep dishing it. I deserve it after all the hype Kel gave me on the boards over the years.

I had my moments, but most of the time it was just playing defense for four straight national tourney teams. I'm a hack, but I have no complaints.

It just dawned on me that one of our unnamed posting brothers has been sending up a smoke screen because he wanted us to forget the true source of his ire:

(which went unremarked and unnoticed by most, including me)... Tommies 87 - Gusties 51

Just doing my part to keep the (competitive) fires lit over the holidays & test out my formatting skillz.   ;D

Johnnies beat St. Cloud State 72-67....very nice win!

Bethel whips up on another tough non-conference foe, Martin Luther 90-62; now they have all week to prepare for Crown College!  ;)

Yeah good work Johnnies ......i doubted them but i guess they pulled through.  Good work inside by the Johnnies 1-1 vs D-2 teams is pretty good if i do say so myself

Congratulations to St. John's for a huge win over St. Cloud State.  For those of you that were at the game I have a question.  Is St. John's just that much better this year or is St. Cloud State down compared to previous seasons?  Johnnies out-rebound the Huskies by 13, that's a surprising stat.  Included in that were 17 offensive rebounds.

Stat Line of the Day:

Paul Henrichs:  10-19FG   4-6FT   24 PTS 18 REBS (9 OFF.) 5AST 1TO in 37 MINS.

Paul Henrichs is back!!! After a slow start to the year he has come on strong in games vs. Carleton and Bethel.   The Concordia St. Paul game he played well and now going nearly 20 and 20 vs SCSU. Watchout MIAC...........The Johnnies dominated inside they just won the battle inside last night that is all there is to it.

LC....The Johnnies are much better this year and SCSU is pretty young. I am surprised about the rebounding edge that SJU had, however. Also, in reviewing the box score, Ohme didn't have a great scoring night, but SJU had 4 guys in double figures.

January-February should be very interesting in the MIAC!!

SJU played out their minds and Henrichs was a beast. SJU played it's best game of the year and SCSU wasn't exactly clicking on all cylinders. All in all a nice win for the Johnnies that doesn't count for much more than pride and bragging rights.

I think i would be pretty proud to beat a D-2 team especially on their home floor in their tourney.  So would any other team in the MIAC. UST and GAC may expect it but that was an unexpected victory for SJU. The Johnnies proved that they can play with top teams. The rest of the year should be interesting.
