I would go with SJU since ohme and myself share the same insurance class and i got all the scoop about the game, but family comes first.  Schmidt goes off for the upset win at sju, reminds me of the last time i played at st. johns in the first round of the playoffs.

Thanks for posting all the links for game updates tonight Drake. Am planning to attend semi and finals on Weds/Saturday, but think I will check in via the web tonight when I'm not watching Jack Bauer save the world.

I am not making a prediction in the SJU/GAC contest. VOJ would fall over if I predicted a Johnnies win after some of my earlier season comments and I would doom GAC with a forecasted win for the Gusties, since SJU goes on a win streak every time I make a negative comment about them. I will give both teams a chance and stay away from that one. I'm sure Mose will be cheering hard for the Johnnies though

Augsburg/Carleton should also be interesting despite the results of their last game. I lean toward Augsburg at home, but have a feeling that Zorro could really come up big in this one. He will definitely have his game face on tonight

Nope, I will be doing my best impersonation of Swtizerland and remain neutral. Plus, I will be at Si Melby and being even more Swiss

I just hope the game in C-ville doesnt resemble  Meunster or Stilten (yes, this is a cheesy post)

Willy Wonka, the fly in my ointment.   

You – the quiet, reserved, polite Mr. Understatement Guy?  I'm not buying it.

To repeat a line I used last week – "that's laughable." This statement is coming from the same man who posted a Mike Tyson "I only answer questions from women I've fornicated with" YouTube links, & near nudes of one of your former teammates??  And then let me use this quote from your blog:

GAC coach Mark Hanson wasn't always real strict with his dress code. Unlike recently retired Gustie football coach Jay Schoenebeck, who demanded suit and tie, slacks and a decent shirt were enough on basketball road trips. But what about plane trips? It was a loophole we'd never discussed since it had never happened. That made the trip to Salem, VA interesting.

McNabb, Moss, Neon Deion's old school Falcons jersey and plenty of others made an appearance on the plane, much to Hanson's chagrin. Deion and Moss, worn by yours truly, reappeared the next morning at the hotel for breakfast, allowing the other three teams — who were dressed in matching team gear — a chuckle at our expense. Guess what? The all-you-can-eat buffet was still tasty.

And let me add one more:

It started in the blowout win over the Tommies when a few crazy Gustie fans made a "Golden Ticket" sign comparing my unruly hair to that of Gene Wilder's as Willy Wonka. I needed to visit a barber in the worst way, but couldn't crop things while we were still winning. Fortunately — or unfortunately, as the case may be — we kept winning and the date with the barber kept getting pushed back. The others followed my lead, making for a bunch of floppy-haired scrubs in the MIAC's first visit to the title game.

A rap loving, floppy hair, football jersey wearing basketball player doesn't quite fit the image I had in mind when it comes to those quiet, understated Jack Armstrong Mauer type athletes. It's sort of like comparing the Denver Nuggets' Chris Andersen to Joe Mauer.

Dude seriously,  I pick the Johnnies every weekend in football. 

And besides, where's Fins, ROR & those other fairweather Johnnie basketball fans?

I'm right here, riding the bandwagon.  At least for a few more hours.   

and if said bandwagon rolls into Schoenecker...will you (and any other SJU alum) be riding on it or washing your wife's hair/feeding the dog/walking the cat/watching the nieghbor's guppies?   

If the wheels stay on the bandwagon that long I intend to be there.
