I think I've found out how yorky got a d-1 job, the other refs in the big ten are just awful.  Hightower doesn't have a bias, he's just terrible.  good luck figuring out what a foul might be on a given play.

Gotta love westbrook tonight.  10 straight points from down 5 to up 5.  drunken sconnies go home frustrated.  just beautiful.

i loved the call tonight that hightower made but did not move for at least a good 10 seconds but continued to point at a crowd and no one in the stadium had any idea who the foul was on...he loves to put on a show for the cameras

my favorite part of tonights game

wierd guy next to me giving the golf clap everytime the gophers score....until the last 5 minutes when the drunken sconnies take the lead...he then goes into trash talking bashing mode...

obviously i did not like this...

i let him know about it on every floater westbrook put up in the last 2 minutes...and especially when he left early in the final seconds of the game...after the game i ventured back to the watering hole (sallys) of the ever elusive boombalahty...they were plentiful...as were the drunken sconnies who continued to drink more and more and try to talk about how God like they are at other sports

i wonder if any of the drunken sconnies will talk trash to me on facebook tomorrow like they did all day today...my facebook is a happy place

+k for AO...happy to see he doesnt like the drunken sconnies either

True Story & Good Humor moment of the Day:
(Or things, I don't particularly want to know)

I drove over to UST this morning this morning to pick up my tickets for the NCAA tournament this weekend.  As I made my way up the stairs, I walked though a 2nd floor small lobby area that's right outside the athletic administration offices in O'Shaughnessy Hall.  When I walked through the lobby I noticed what appeared to be a small coed student group of 8-9 students in a small classroom breakout session.  No big deal I think to myself –"nice to see students working & engaged at 8:30 or so in the morning." As I walk by them I heard this obviously irritated, female student:

"It's just so annoying you can't even use the bathrooms because people are having sex in the bathrooms at 4:30 in the afternoon."   :o  ::) ;)

I damn near keeled over & collapsed right there in the lobby!  So I'm chuckling & laughing as I walk into the admin office and begin talking to the friendly UST student working the ticket desk.  I tell her – "things can certainly be funny when you over hear only a part of a conversation.  She smiled, laughed & replied – isn't that the truth."  I then proceed to tell her I had just overheard a conversation out in the lobby which dang near made me blush.  We laughed some more & then she said, "Oh that group" pointing to the group in the lobby- "yeah, they cover some pretty interesting topics."

Yeah, I guess.  Back in the day we were lucky to have open house in the dorms every weekend, let alone Larry Craig-like coed open bathroom stalls.  ;)

I hope this was some type of "Health & Human Sexuality" class that was going on rather than a hook up discussion.

I think the girl working the desk has a crush on you

Perhaps she just knew it was the "regal and mysterious" Drake Palmer who walked through the door...wonder what kind of boombahlaties she was sporting...

Was Drake wearing a mask when he purchased his ticket this morning? I wonder how hard it would be to track down the student working the desk for some details. Maybe she could provide a sketch and description? VOJ, you've got to have some free time for investigative work like this...

Yea I should have staked it out...installed a camera or two...oh well missed opportunity.  I would love to be at the Shoe Friday night for the doubleheader, but I will be on my way to Wisconsin to watch Syracuse-Marquette on Sat....GO ORANGE...

While we're waiting for the hoops craziness to begin, here's a link to a blog that provides good reading until the MIAC All Conference selections come out later today (?), & the tourney starts on Friday.  Willy, you in particular might relish several of the digs the coach makes.  :o   :)

BV coach says:

"At some point, you would think you would take a look objectively and say that a 20-3 region record from a team that beat St. Thomas, Stevens Point, and took the eventual National Champs to OT last year in the National Tournament, with the same players as last year, deserves to be in, and no one, I mean no one can dispute that."

I was listening recently to Mike & Mike in the Morning and they were talking about a mock March Madness selection show that was held in their studios by the NCAA to run through how the show would go.  They discussed some of the criteria used by the selection committee for D-I and one of the things they said they learned from watching the mock show was that the selection committee gives no consideration to a team's past tournament history.

Nevertheless, I do think BV got a raw deal as they deserve to be in the tournament.

Did I read the last paragraph of that BLOG correctly ???

Thanks to all for all your support, and I will still be blogging so tune in and see what the heck I am doing with my life.  Right now as we speak, I am turning on the gas in my office.  I will just sit back, take in the fumes, and get ready for next year.

Guess D-lll hoops are life or death! ???

Scalping has officially made it's way to D3.  LOL

I made $32 last week off of two $3 student tickets. haha.
Perhaps the tommies should consider selling tickets online/phone?   maybe just for the adult tickets....

Some simethicone, or maybe a dash of Beano on his scrambled eggs at breakfast, ought to clear that problem right up.

Psst, Mose, wake up, wake up!! You've got to wake up for the game tomorrow night.

Fellas, I think Mose has passed out from the euphoria of seeing so many Tommies named to the various All Conference teams & awards.  My goodness!!  :-* :D

It seems the biggest difference between the CSN awards & the Coaches' awards, CSN selected Carleton's Zach Johnson POY & MVP, while the coaches went with UST's Joe Scott.  Also, the coaches selected Lonnie Robinson, Jesse Van Sickle for All Conference, while  CSN selected Tyler Nicolai & Carl Hipp.

Interestingly, both CSN & the coaches selected UST's Al McCoy. Now there's a conspiracy theory for someone. I didn't think the coaches would be as foolish as the CSN committee.    ;)
