Puhleeze!  Sum - you of people should talk about karma.  You've basically got 3 times as much as me. But I tell you what - lets make a deal. Since we both have milestone/symmetry type numbers

Easy there big fella

I was only alluding to the symmetry of you on 333. You know I am dishing you +k any chance I get!!

Three questions for the board:  ???

Does James Baldwin (CC; 9mins per game vs 20 mins per game two years ago) not rate in the world of Rich Glas, or is this a personality thing?

Does anyone know about the extent of Taylor Hall's (BU) injury and when he might be returning?

Can  Andy GG (AUG) some help on the boards to go with what appears to be a pretty solid backcourt?  Brett Sorenson is doing a nice job (6 rpg) of trying to help, but that number likely will not hold up for long.

Is Joe Scott back in the swing of things? He dropped 21 last night.

One question about Mr. Scott: Did he win player of the year because he was the best player on the best team (Heisman style)? His stats certainly weren't eye-popping, he didn't do better than 7th in any statistical category. Was he just highly effective in short bursts?

Joe Scott is an exceptionally good player.  But YES, to answer your guestion.  And he would likely be the first one to tell you that.

Mose - interesting that they haven't posted it on either of the school websites yet, but just on the composite schedule of the MIAC board.

And so far, it looks like the other games are still scheduled to go on tonight.

Light night in the league before the SMU-UST cancellation...here is a preview of the rest of the schedule

GAC @ Augy...two teams that will battle for a spot right along with a couple of others, behind the Tommies in the conference(IMHO)...Augy has the offense, but will GAC be able to hit 80 again. or was that an aboration??  Guard play should be fairly even...but give the Auggies the nod based on more talent to score overall.  Inside G-G for the Auggies will have his hands full with Paulson,  McPartland and company, giving GAC alot of fouls to use...last year Auggy swept GAC, tonight I think they get 1/2 way there this year...

St. Olaf @ Carleton  I think this is the one game tonight that will definitely go on regardless of the weather, after all you can always snowshoe down Main Street in Northfield...Oles with alot of momentum, they hung with the Tommies and beat Hamline while the Knights could not build on their win over the Johnnies by falling to Concordia and seeing their offense become non existant near the end...Who will defend Jaryan, is Davis quick enough to keep AJ in front of him or will it be the long arms of Sutherland trying to shut down the 3rd leading scorer in the MIAC?  Who will the Oles get the rest of their offense from?  Carleton has homecourt in this one and will hope that helps them retain the Goat Trophy...I think the Knights notch win number two in a tight one, could be decided by a Biewen 3 in the end...but if the Oles have the lead late, they have the top FT shooter in the conference handling the ball

SJU vs MAC...  Johnnies get their first look at new look Mac, a team to be rekoned with after they had Hamline down 3 at the half last week and stayed in their game with SMU to kick off the conference season before running into a ticked off Bethel team on Monday night...Johnnies need to tighten the screws defensively and keep a trend going of 3 straight halves of MAC making less than 10 shots from the field...and they need to keep MAC off the offensive glass, they had 11 offensive rebounds vs both Bethel and Hamline in their last two games.  J's hope to see the basics, good shot selection, keeping turnovers to a minimum and build some good momentum headed into the break.

Wed. Men's, Women's Basketball postponed
December 09, 2009

The St. Thomas women's basketball game scheduled for tonight in Winona against St. Mary's has been postponed until Sunday at 1 p.m.

Tonight's Tommie men's basketball home game against St. Mary's has been postponed. The game won't be played Thursday night, either, because St. Mary's begins final exams on that day.

Check back later for the makeup date and time.

Posting rule #769 – Man Up. Within reason, posters can talk smack all they want, but when you lose you got to come back to the board & take your lumps. I hate admitting I'm wrong as much as anybody, but we've all had to.  So get over it.  ;)

Are you sure Sensei?  I thought that Rule 542 was:   No posting when boombalahties are in season.

C-Mob would never post if that was the case, because he'd be the first to tell you that boombalahties are always in season.

I emailed Carleton's SID earlier this afternoon and the Knights/Oles are on for tonight. Since the two schools are in the same town, it's tough to justify travel as an excuse to postpone the game. I think if the Knights were playing anywhere other than their Northfield rivals, it would be off.

With that said, I like the Oles chances tonight. Carleton just didn't impress me that much earlier this year, although the only game I've seen was Wartburg (the opener). Jaryan and Torell have been a nice combo lately, and Fong is tough when he's healthy. I think Olaf wins by 10 or more tonight.

Not necessarily, because Rule 770 created by CMob amended Rule 542 to read as follows:   No comprehensible postings when boombalahties are in season.

Hence, the origin on the MIAC board of what is affectionately known as "Greekspeak".    And now, Sensei, you know the rest of the story.  :)
