UST and GAC should both win their games tonight. GAC's size with Paulson, Blacklock, and McPartland should be to much for MAC, and Niccolai and Scott need to just cancel out Wright and Holland for a win.

Carleton plays SMU, UST doesn't play today.

Whoops, in that case it should be a very good game and would leapfrog into the second best game of the night.

Let's hope our Gusties aren't still "jet-legged" from their trip, eh?  ::)

Let's hope!    :D

I think the key word for 3 of the more intriguing matches tonight will be TEMPO.

*SMU will want to play a faster pace than the more deliberate style of Carleton.

*Augsburg will want to push against the taller, but not necessarily slow Cobbers

*(SJU will also want a faster pace against "the ugly socks" approach  of the Oles. )

*And an interesting game strategy decision for Coach Westie & the boys at Bethel. Do they try to run with Hamline or try to grind it out? Based on my limited observations, I would say Bethel & Carleton's' talents might be on a par with each other. Hamline showed they could play a more deliberate style against the Carlies & won on Saturday. Traditionally, Bethel hasn't been noted as a strong defensive team as Carleton, so tonight's game could be real interesting. On the other hand, I'm thinking Jekyll might be due to show up for Hamline.

*Gusties & MAC will both want to proceed with care. Until their guard play improves MAC needs to really value each possession.  In terms of TOs I think they may be leading the league.

Why will they be sick in 2012?

That's interesting. I'm assuming you know something big I don't, since Koz will probably be relying on freshmen for the 20th straight year in 2012 while putting his seniors at the end of the bench  :P
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Their monster soph class will be seniors in 2012. Alfred Jaryan, Bobby Fong, Stu Neville, Lochner, and Ramsay are all good players with Jaryan and Fong having the potential to be very good. Maybe sick was an exaggeration, but I like them in a few years.

Here are the scores at halftime except the SMU vs. CAR game.

GAC 40  MAC 13
HAM 31  Bethel 41
SMU 26  CAR  22
AUG 30 CON 32
SJU 42  STO 40

Looks like the bottom three here are turning out to be good games. Blowout in St. Peter and once again, here's the inconsistency of HAM.

brown and hipp have combined for 2 (yes, two) points at the half.  looks like perrel's defense is all over the vipe's big guns.   :-[

gac could go mercy rule on mac.    ;)

aug (no surprise) handling concordia.   8)

You clearly haven't been following the MIAC very long if you expect all those seniors to be getting major minutes at STO as seniors...

papahoops

Hamlime comes back strong in the second half to beat Bethel 72-70. Carleton win at SMU not a good omen for Cardinal playoff prospects. After starting game down 11-0, Oles battle SJU but come out on the short end. Concordia stayed with Augsburg for over a half, but Aggie quickness and perimeter game took over with a nice second half run. Following 3 webcasts and 1 live stat game at once a challenge, but it sure beat being out in sub-zero weather and seeing just one game :)

woops, misread of gac's update.   bad by me.   :(   looks like dawgs did manhandle cobs in the final 20 minutes, however.

vipes woke up the sleeping dog, but ray brown decided to play the second half and was a bit more than the bu could handle.  vavra down with sprained ankle.  things could get tough for royals who now hit the road at ust, sto, and aug.  ouch.
