Ok, after getting 6.5 hours of pre-game napping under my belt today I'll finally offer some feedback...

• The refs REALLY let the teams play on Thursday. In a physical game, the teams combined for just 14 fouls and 12 free throws...but that still played a big role in the game. Andy G-G was tagged with two quick ones and sat the rest of the first half. He was big in Augsburg's second-half surge.

• The Auggies took some silly shots that proved costly. Quammen jacked one from roughly 25 feet as part of a first-half heat check and Olson put one off the basket support in a misguided attempt to draw a foul in crunch time.

Tyler Grey was huge for GAC. He got mostly wide open looks by constantly running off screens. The Auggies just didn't defend him very well.

• There was a string of about 10 SUPER ugly possession for GAC in the first half...that almost all led to baskets. We're talking tip-ins, fumbled passes that led to contested Js, kicked balls that led to layups. That sort of game plays right into the hands of Blacklock and Seth Anderson.

Wirtjes' stats are anything but spectacular this year, but he's the most deserving of an all-conference spot IMO. He's GAC's best defender, best shooter and its steadiest player. He's also made some huge plays this year. The steal and ensuing 1-on-4 layup to score the game-winning basket was clutch.

Anderson picked Cassens clean to end the game. JC had a chance to pull up from deep for a potential game-winner, but decided to push the issue on a 4-on-2ish break in the closing seconds. It was a great play by the Gustie soph.

• I would have bet you millions that GAC would NOT be playing CAR after watching the two teams battle to a 20-19 halftime score in the first conference game of the year. Some of the high school teams I cover could have given both teams a scare that night. Let's hope Saturday's game is a little more fun to watch...

With all that said, here's some pre-game info from the GAC Web site:

Thanks, I just skimmed over it and I was looking at the bottom, not the top.

Carleton will offer audio and video off its site as well.

D3hoops.com will also offer video as well.

Plenty of options for those that can't attend.

Are these all separate feeds or different ones?  And if it's the same feed, is it different hosting or the just links to the same (seems like it could get bogged down if it's the same).

All different. That way if you can't get one, try another. Carleton and Gustavus are through Stretch Internet, which tons of D3 schools use so you shouldn't have much problem. D3hoops.com is using UStream, I believe.

Great atmosphere at Gus Young Court (Carleton grad, by the way). First one to 60 wins, perhaps?

That's awesome, I hope more schools start doing this live video.  I'm watching the D3Hoops stream.

And I love Gustavus' gym.  Only played there once (UWSP vs. GAC in 2005) and the energy is amazing when packed.
