I like the sound of busses.  Tell them to bring food to the tailgate...and sing along...

Broken glass everywhere *glass shatters*
If it ain't about the money, puff, I just don't care (that's right)
I'm that goodfella fly guy, sometimes wiseguys
Spend time in h-a-w-a-i-i
(mase can you please stop smoking lah lah? )
Puff why try? I'm a thug, i'ma die high
I be out in jersey, puffin hershey
Brothers ain't worthy to rock my derby
Though I'm never drugged, I'm the venom in the club, g
Though I know the thug be wantin to slug me (uh-huh)
Could it be I move as smoove as bugsy? (yeah)
Or be at the bar with too much bubbly? (c'mon)
Yo I think it must be the girls want to lust me
Or is it simply the girls just love me
Brothers wanna: rock the rolls, rock my clothes
Rock my ice, pull out glocks, stop my life (uhh)
I'm like, damn, how these niggaz got they trust?
Used to be my man, how you gonna plot on my wife?
Do you think you snake me, cause they hate me?

If UST student section is bringing the weak sauce, I'll be the strong sauce.

Off to Marshall for that other sport. Nope, not hockey. Wrestling.

26 hours, 13 minutes 11 seconds to tailgate 06

oAs, I like the website. I would like to see an addition to the Hey ref portion of the site....add a picture and name of each MIAC official. I figure with your resources that shoudn't be problem. That way when we have input on their "abilities" we can call them by name.
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

...pipes can you specify what kind of talk because if its going to be an emotional sappy thing where you pretend that we are distantly related i must begin to mentally prepare

That's deep stuff CMob!   ;D :P ;D

Regarding the UST weak sauce - yeah more or less.  Just more weak sauce-ers in attendance last night, aided by the Tommie foam claws the cheerleaders & others were passing out.

Omen or coincidence? -  On the way out to the parking lot after the game I saw this bumper sticker on the back of a car - "I (Heart) Columbia"

Sent shudders down my spine, especially after I thought I heard the honking of a goose or was that a Tommie robin?  ;)

"If anything here offends, I beg your pardon. I come in peace, I depart in gratitude." ;)

Willy Wonka

Well, I think Ike's helped decide on the soundtrack for tomorrow's festivities. Good luck talking Johnnie Red out of weak sauce U2 though...But I'd respect OAS a lot more if he had come up with all that strictly off memory. Being the Google guru, we all know he just looked it up.

I'm expecting a big crowd tomorrow, even with my absence. The Tommies will show up late, but be stylin' and profilin', cellies blowing up all game as no one pays attention to the game until Ike dunks - IF he dunks.

The Carlie fans will show up in force, but they need to work on creativity. Flicking off the crowd and a few lame chants need to be upgraded to more "Who's Gus Davis?" type things. With 2 days prep time, I'm trusting the smarty pants can get their act together and pull off some creativity ala "Baquero is Spanish for Brick" for their first  title game since the late 90 (?).

Keating will be the difference tomorrow. Either he has back-to-back good games for the first time all year and the Tommies win the title, or he follows his trend and sucks, keeping UST home in March. When he is productive, the Tommies have a ton of weapons.

Prediction: Keating sucks, Carlies win 74-68 as the Goose is Loosed!
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

TommieHoops4Life

Willy Wonka is exactly right on Keating. If he has a good game, the Tommies will be tough to stop. I think the key for UST is to try and get Forkrud in early foul trouble. I don't think it's happened all year to him, and I'd like to see what adjustments Kalland makes if it happens. My biggest fear for the Tommies is when Ike gets in foul trouble, because the offense runs through him, whether it's scoring inside our outside. If UST brings it like they did last night, they are the MIAC champions. If Carleton brings it like they did at UST earlier this season in NFLD, the Knights are your MIAC champions.

Sounds like I missed out on two great games last night thanks to section hockey. At least Northfield took care of business and takes on Red Wing Tuesday. I'll see everyone at the cookout tomorrow (sorry PI, no drinking for me this time. I actually have to work this game... with a camera no less)

Should be a great atmosphere tomorrow night. I'm not worried about the Carleton students getting fired up, but other than the girlfriends and friends of the UST players, will the UST students be fired up enough to actually watch all 40 minutes, possibly more?!

The war of words has begun between Kalland and Fritz...

Johnnie Red

Time to head out to Norwood Young America for the Stiftungsfest burger and then spend the evening pattying up the burgers, cleaning the grills from last November at Wisconsin Whitewater  :'( and making sure we are all set for tomorrow afternoon. And yes, there will be plenty of U2 music in the background along with the world famous Girl Scout caramel delites cookies for dessert. It will be a challenge stepping foot on the campus of St. Thomas. :P Be there or be square (or from Bethel).

To everyone heading to the BockFest at Schell's Brewery tomorrow, drink and drive responsibly. :D

NorfField Mafia

Word on campus is there will be at least two busloads of Knights coming up for the game.  I know the Carleton faithful have been planning tailgating for a little while now, but I'm sure we can all get along.  I'll try to figure out an estimate of how many will be there for the festivities as opposed to just showing up before gametime.

NorfField Mafia

I forgot to mention this last (k)night but I did want to say hats off to the Gustavus faithful...our crowd control was a little nervous because of their traditional following, but they cheered hard throughout the game, were classy, and provided a great playoff atmosphere.  In addition, at the end of the game they were able to engage in friendly conversation with the Knights crowd instead of taking the Ole approach and trying to fight everyone on the way out.  I was truly impressed with the support and class of the Gusties crowd.

OAS-

I'm having a hard time getting sure commitments, and I don't want to leave you hanging with guesses, so the concensus between those of us who usually run the grill outs down here is that we'll take care of ourselves with burgers and such.

Looking foward to a grand event tomorrow

HONK HONK HONK!!!!

Willy Wonka

mafias - I'd HIGHLY recommend at least making your way over to the Stiffy-fest to try a burger apiece. Give oAs a rough estimate on those numbers. This fall I drove 3 hours and stood in a cold rain watching an SJU football game and didn't even care because I ate 6 burgers beforehand :)
