I usually post on the WIAC site being an RF grad but I wanted to see if anyone here knew when the RF St. Thomas scrimmage is?  or did it already happen?  I'm out of state and am interested to see if anyone had insight

Thanks...

UST scrimmages UW-Eau Claire this Friday in Eau Claire.  This will be a good exhibition for the Tommies, Eau Claire is usually very physical and UST will have to match that physicality.

FT, FYI!

Sumander- Where you been lately...under a rock. I guess Johnnie football is more important than Johnnie basketball?!?! The 18th will be a double tailgate....I will talk to Finsleft to see if he's sticking around for the 2nd round festivities.

If the board will allow me one mild, annual digression into politics...in a politically schizophrenic state where the citizens rejected a "madman", elected a "madwoman", and was the first state in the country to elect a Muslim; Greg, your post was the perfect end to a Madcap election night!  ;D

I think I'll give the nod to South Dakota politics:

Dead woman wins county commissioner's race
S.D. candidate gets 100 votes; official says voters knew she was deceased

PIERRE, S.D. - A woman who died two months ago won a county commissioner's race in Jerauld County on Tuesday.

Democrat Marie Steichen, of Woonsocket, got 100 votes, defeating incumbent Republican Merlin Feistner, of Woonsocket, who had 64 votes.

Jerauld County Auditor Cindy Peterson said she believes the county board will have to meet to appoint a replacement for Steichen. Peterson said she'll check with the state's attorney to be sure that's the process.

Peterson said voters knew Steichen had died.

"They just had a chance to make a change, and we respect their opinion."

WOW!  How embarassing is that?!

When former AG John Ashcroft lost his bid for re-election to the Senate from Missouri to a dead guy, at least everyone knew that his widow would be appointed to replace him.  So at least he lost to a living person, even if she wasn't on the ballot.

Merlin Feistner lost to "ANYONE who isn't Feistner"! ;D

cobbernation

The cobber men's bball team start off the season playing 7 of the first 9 games on the road.  Anyone have any predictions for what their record will be when they play Hamline on Jan. 6?

Chica yea false identification

First the Gopher football team gets an embarrassing 10-9 win over NDSU, now the Gopher men's hoops team loses to d-2 national champ Winona State 69-64 last night. So much for hoping basketball would give us relief from the embarrassment football has been this fall. It could be a long winter.

The U should send all 3 M's up to NDSU in exchange for their hoops coach, their football coach and their athletic director! The only problem is I don't think NDSU would want them! BOO YA!
