Drake, are you saying that due to the timing of the games this year, some of the MIAC programs have just dropped their JV teams this year??  Or are just not scheduling as many games??  So are you saying that the JV programs will pick up next year when the games are back to normal?  Because I know Bethel this year only has like 5 or 6 JV games, just because they can't find teams to play.  Even last year they had like 5 or 6 fewer JV games than when I was a Freshmen.  And I believe most of that is because there are teams like SMU and Mac that don't have JV programs anymore.

Did his points go down also once he took over as PG??

They did, but only from 10.2 ppg to 8.5 ppg. One thing I did not look at was what happen to his minutes at one position v. the other. That will have to wait for another day

i believe the reasoning behind getting rid of redshirting in d3 was because of the scholarship issue...players at the DI and DII levels can redshirt because they are getting payed to play for 4 years, and the coach has the ability to decide if that will be the first 4 years or if the student has the choice to stay for that 5th year...whereas at D3 there are no scholarships, but there are tons of players, and it is to stop teams from having 30 kids on a roster and having all of them practice, but never play...Stevens Point has been notorious for redshirting players in the past...2 key ones were Bennet and Kaslow

B34 - I don't know why Willy d/n answer your question since he had time to throw down a line.  ::)  I'm thinking you''ll see a return of more teams scheduling JV games next year.  Willy or Mose will have to fill you in on the details.

St. Thomas' JV plays teams a few times most notably Bethel, St. Johns and another Bible school that's skipping my mind right now.  I do know that they play the alumni a few more times than normal

Post 666 Drake!!!! :o

Just like TDT's karma!

SJU jv plays a 17 game schedule this year. Actually a few more given they host a tournament in early December where they play 3 full games in one night!

Dang - I missed it & should have tried to make it a more memorable post.

Speaking of JV games, I just checked & noticed that the Tommies have their tentative JV schedule posted on the web.  They also have their season preview posted, along with the Pipes who posted their preview the day before.

Tommie Preview

I haven't had a chance to analyze the Tommie preview but I did find this interesting tidbit about the probable starting lineup.  After the big 3 of Ike, Mike, & Shooter, it appears that Andrew Dwyer is going to run the point & at least for the time being, Jr Lonnie Robinson is going to play the other forward spot at gulp -- 6-2?!? Lonnie's a very capable, explosive athlete, & even played forward in high school, but in college??  I can't wait to see this.  This means their starting lineup goes like this –

Dwyer 6-2, Schnettler 6-1, Robinson 6-2, Keating 6-6 & Ike at 6-9.

That's not a very large team.  Could it be a 4 out offense, will they run, & how can they run, Fritzie hardly ever subs, etc. etc.??  I'm sputter, sputter.. Wow!! ;D :o 8)

Revised - Gusties have thrown up a season preview now too!

Gusties Preview

Nice streak -9 out of 11 years they've qualified for the NCAAs.

MIAC Pick Em

The board is locked, so you'll have to have Pat unlock it.  Basically, you can't post anything right now.  I had to have him unlock the WIAC Pick Em board.

Shameless Self-Promotion
The season starts in a week, don't forget to join the Survivor League and new the Nationwide Pick Em League in the multi-regional board!!!  ;D

My bad OS & SDG, I never noticed the "reply" button wasn't currently available on the Pickem board.  SDG - since this weekend is the end of the regular football season, Pat might be pretty busy.  So to get his attention, you might have to send him a PM.

I sent a PM to Pat last night.  I'm not expecting any action anytime soon with it still being FB season.  As for the new game, it's actually really simple.  I probably made it sound more confusing than it really is (I have a tendancy to do that).  9 spots still left.

I unlocked it last night if anyone checked.

I did notice that.  Thanks again Pat.

That's cool.

I have nothing new to report or say, but  I wonder what the MIAC board record is for the number of consecutive quotes used in a post.  This particular string of "quotes" is now at 5.   ;D

I think it's fair to say we need to get the season started & soon!  ;)

I am in for this new game. I'm on a pick'em high after winning the football regular season.

Just to make Drake's day I'll continue the quote line. SDG- Just checking, Are we still doung the regular pickem too?

Yep.  We are still doing the regular pick'em as well.  There are 6 spots remaining in the YNOT.

i figure there is no better way to make my 519th post than to lead it off with the most consecutive quotes i have ever seen...i also figured i better make my 519th milestone post before D3BBallfollower gets to 519 and takes all my glory and my sack of coffee beans at the end of the rainbow

i was going to type my entire post like this but i figured it would take too long to read
so instead i decided i will continue to type the way that got me to my 519th post...the world today is a strange one...it is a world that is intrenched with items such as the tripple burger or a fat juicy porter house....there is nothing better than throwing a pumkin at a taradactal that is flying by in hopes that you might knock down and try to feed him a sunflower seed....

*****clearing the throat noises*****

now for my acceptance speech for my milestone award...i would like to start out by thanking Chewbaka for giving me the strength and courage to just say whatever is on my mind like he does...he is a crafty whookie that enjoys playing ping pong in his spare time...the funny part is though he is really bad and he cant even beat curious george who doesnt even play ping pong but just wonders around being curious...one time curious george even at a chocolate dipped banana while standing on his head.

on to more serious matters...the maffia and i have decided that we will no longer be importing things on a boat we are now importing all beans on a plane

we are currently investigating if WillyWonka actually has a chocolate factory or if he has been just joshing us all along...making us think we are going to get a golden ticket and tricking us with fake ones which are just old ticket stubbs from MIAC basketball games

on the other hand no one will ever figure out how many ways there are to eat a reeses until we all see how bacon is really made

everyone use your Brochiodialator (aka your inhaler) now incase your running out of breath

now for my preseason predictions

1. AUGIE TECH
2. ST. MARYS

PSYCH!!!!!!! or in the words of Borat NOT!!!

i bet i tricked you haha

UST should win but im not gonna pick them to win cuz that would be too easy

1. SJU - Ohme and Lieser will be ready to lead the way....and when other teams shoot free throws Ohme will psych them out and yell TOES!!! right when they go to shoot
2. UST - Ike will get some kind of crazy hair cut that makes him less aerodynamic which intails less production but then will make the adjustment come playoffs and lead his team to the ship
3. CAR - THE GOOSE IS LOOSE..HONK HONK HONK...phillips will probably eat all of his food with a FORK this year in honor of Dan Forkrud and he will lead his team to victory
4. BET - They will let it rain like the fat guy in something about polly and then someone will slam dunk
5. GAC - They are slippery fast and will give lots of high fives to not only individuals but also to groups
6. HAM - Foster will get away with 43897 offensive fouls this year and probably wear snow shoes if he goes on a hike in alaska on a winter day

Thats all im predicting.....I hope TEEN WOLF keto is on the prawl again this year he is just a little critter but will bite you if you look like a vampire

now to sum up all that i have said

LIONS DONT EAT CLOWNS BECAUSE THEY TASTE FUNNY!!

i hope LBow doesnt get furious at me for not picking UST to win...cuz it might cause him to change his name to Knee

it the words of the brilliant mike tice....calm down calm down now

glen mason is a goofball if i have ever seen one...he should be in a tooth paste commercial because he is always showing off his teeth to everyone like he is a tooth model

my rollerskates are almost out of the shop and ready to go for some MIAC hoops

my only request for this season is....

BET gets someone who knows how to run a shot clock to work the games

I LOVE AMERICA!! I LOVE THE U. S. AND THE A....YEAH! NICE HIGH FIVE!!
:) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'(

Cmob, 519 was unusually bizarre! I expected nothing less!
