He should get 15 games. Sucker punching should not be allowed in the NBA. Thats reservced for Auggie Tech football players.

And Melo did get 15 games. I don't guess right very often, but the post above was made prior to me seeing this article.

while you're on a roll, you should go out and buy a lotto ticket and maybe take a trip to the nearest casino.

A few notes from the stat sheet.  Tony Thrasher was on fire again, this time scoring 31 points on 13-22 shooting.  This after he scored 25 against the Oles on Monday.  Do I hear Player of the Week honors forthcoming  ???

The MIAC discussion board is HOT.  Make a prediciton, and it will come true! ;D

He scored 10 straight Piper points during an 18-7 run late in the first half en route to a 38-27 halftime lead over the Oles. The Metropolis of Appleton you mean. Yeah, Strand was a solid player in the West Central South, but that doesn't say much.

That whole court brawl was ugly, and another reason to watch MIAC basketball and not the NBA.

Karma me please  ;D

Seriously, Thrasher is becoming quite the player.  He continue to show similar talents to the former Andy Gilbert of Bethel.

miacsuperfan

loco:    the "former" andy gilbert?   last i heard he was still andy gilbert.  thrasher and gilbert?   is this like derock and mark buri?

I have seen TT and played against AG, and I would not put them in the same category yet.

How about Foster?  He always had talent, and more determination, if his head was on straight.

I cannot believe the same posters are still here from when i was playing, i love your guys' commitment to the MIAC.

Willy Wonka

Buri is the best player I played against in the MIAC, with Espo garnering the all around honor. AGilbert would be top 10. I guarded all three with very minimal success, as did the rest of the league.

It's utterly laughable to compare DeRock and/or Thrasher to any of these players. Maybe the Piper fans (with the exception of PI) haven't heard, but there's more to basketball than scoring points. Also, win a few games for me before you try comparing your best players to some all-time MIAC greats.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Piperoutsider

I am pretty sure I was agreeing that comparing TT with AG is laughable.

The only reason i signed on to this is my lack of MIAC knowledge, and was hoping to get a quick capsule of MIAC play from the early part of this year.  Since playing in the MIAC and a year of coaching at Hamline, I have lost touch with the league and need a little update.

Darn T-wolves. They just can't do anything can they. Oh well looks like another so so year for the T-puppies.
