you could also add Steve Strom onto the all-defense team

Since we are in the polling spirit, I'm going to dig up familiar topics so that we can be thorough.  On the other end of the spectrum....

1. Which team is the biggest dissapointment this year? Nevermind, I think the board would have a consensus here (HAM)

2. Which players have had the greatest disappearing acts (rank 3)?

*************************
2. For me I'm going
1. Phillips
2. Ohme
3. DeRock

Sad news about Coach Feely and the UST hoops family.

bethelguy

52-33 Bethel up over SMU with 12:00 left.  Not the sexiest game in the league today but an update nonetheless.

SUMMIT!!!!!

For those who never had the privledge of meeting, spending time with or learning from Coach Feely....he was an incredible basketball mind, a great teacher, and a heck of a character. One of my favorite Feely stories:

We were on the bus that was driving us from the airport in Milwaukee to our hotel. CST was in town to be Marquette's sacrifical victim in their first game as D-1 defending national champs. The bus drove past an adult book store advertising "PEEP SHOWS". Feely turned to his assistants (Pete Kramer & Fritz) and a few others sitting nearby and asked (in total seriousness) "What dahell is a peep? Maybe we should take the guys to see one of them shows?" Kramer whispered something to Feely. Tom's face became ashen and he said "Uhm, Ok, there will be no peep shows for anyone."

Another classic is the legendary wallet incident vs. Gulsvig. Feely loved retelling that story, and when he did, you laughed like it was the first time you heard it, not the 1000th. Or the one about the Riot of Collegeville, resulting in Stearns County's finest macing the crowd.

The man probably forgot more basketball smarts than all us posers combined ever knew.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Gusties edge the Ole's 60-57.  Doble leads the way with 16.  No Wittwer in the lineup.  Anyone know what his status is?

i think phillips is a great player but i think if your talking top 5 defensive players in the league i think you gotta put either drake or kootsikas on that list over him...i would put sutherland in that group with drake and kootsikas too but he has to earn his stripes for another year...drake, kootsikas and sutherland are the knights top 3 defenders though by far

Johnnie's win in OT 92-83. Foster called for an offensive foul after scoring a hoop with 7 sec left in regulation. Fosters 5th foul.

J's fortunate to escape with a win!

Nuts and bolts, we got screwed. This is an outrage. Oh wait, my power volleyball team lost 5-0, then I walked across the parking lot to watch the finish of the Holy Angels 14  Hutchinson 0 girls hockey game.

Anybody there?

bleednavyblue_GoBU

Nice win for the Royals down in Winona tonight.  That hasn't been the easiest place for Bethel to win in recent years.  Big wins on the road for Bethel that should propel them into a home win against the upstart Dawgs.  Let's hope so anyway!!

J's take care of business (barely) and set up first half clash with the Tommies!

Anybody at the game tonight with reactions about the Foster foul??
