Try this one out Watch - Fins is an "avuncular" and always "gregarious" host at his bandwagon gatherings in Stearns county.

But, I've heard this is how the DM rolls in the 612...

The Bankers, the Lawyers and the Sports Writers all pulling the big words. Must have been drinking the "smart" coffee this morning ehh boys!  ;D

Morning? Is that when the sun is coming up?  ???

UST at GAC matchups

Dwyer vs. DeLo
With Dwyer not a huge stat guy, his injury doesn't seem like a big loss (assuming he doesn't play or is limited). DeLo has shown flashed of offensive production with pullups and drives to the hoop but hasn't been a consistent threat. I'd call this a push, though GAC could have a slight edge if this is a close game.
Edge: Push

Schnettler vs. Olson
Schnettler has been shooting lights out and Olson simply hasn't been shooting. With UST playing a zone (????) last matchup and GAC having no answer, the burden may fall on Olson to make it happen this time — something he hasn't done in a few weeks. Olson actually defended him well until a 5 minute stretch in the second half when Schnetty hit 4 quick 3s.
Edge: UST

Robinson vs. Wittwer
Wittwer will be the best athlete on the court, but his offensive game is often passive. He needs to be aggressive and try to get UST's inside boys in foul trouble. Robinson is a good athlete who isn't a true scoring threat.
Edge: GAC

Keating vs. Sowden
Is Keating hurt or simply wearing down? His last game was garbage...but he's still an MVP threat. Sowden has been great some games and nonexistant in others. He tends to float on offense when he's more effective in the post. His lack of size hurts his post up game against the bigger Tommies.
Edge: UST

Ike vs. Stein
The MVP has restaked his territory over the last few games and seems a lock at this point. Stein may have played the best game of his career on Monday, but has struggled at times this senior season. He's played Ike physical the past few years and forced him into some ugly shots...but I still like Doble on him better.
Edge: UST

Bench
Doble provides the Gusties with much needed fire power and a big, athletic body to throw against Ike. The real key will be FY Van Sickle though I think. If he can stick outside jumpers like he's been doing pretty well all year (sans the first UST game), it will keep the Tommies honest and give the Gusties a chance. If GAC shoots 10% from outside again (on mostly uncontested shots), they might as well not play the game. McCoy and others had a HUGE impact last game when Keating struggled; the Gusties can let the role players make positive impacts.
Edge: GAC

Prediction
72-69 Gusties

What about WW versus Maniac?

Is that before or after MM pounds his 12-pack on the drive down? He might be able to take a bit more punishment before tapping out if it's after  ;D

Also, for those people interested in this UST/GAC matchup, GAC's SID just informed me that they'll be web casting the game tonight in a last-minute decision. If you go to the following link and click on "watch" it should pop up a few minutes before tipoff.

First things first,

Thank you to Finsleft and Drake for having my bizzack.  Dont worry fellas, haters gonna hate... thats what my mother always told me.  To the nice Johnnies, thank you for your half hate and half love.  I do have a question.  Why would any player get a tatoo of a college they did not attend?? I like the dukies but I dont have a bluedevil across my gigantic muscular back! Nebraska?? Why? Tell me Schafer, why?

p.s. More posts to come....I'll be on this site until I get karma'ed off  ;D

Dunkmachine

Mr. Wonka,

Impressive post.  I see that when it comes to posting I am Ralph Macchio and you are Mr. Miyagi.  I can't say I agree with everything you said though.
"Wittwer will be the best athlete on the court, but his offensive game is often passive"  you really think he is a better athlete than Ike?  Dont get me wrong the kid can leap but ike was a D-1 dude who can drop step 360 dunks like nothing.  I think athletewise Ike may have him.  Who urks me less?, hands down Wittwer.  Ike is pretty annoying when he starts running his mouth.

As far as Keating vs Sowden, its not even close.  Sowden isnt on his level when it comes to basketball.  And to disagree with you a second time (no disrespect sensei) the Dawggies took him out of the last game.  It looked to me like they face guarded Keating and Schnettler the whole game.  I attended the game and his poor stats had little to do with him.  Great game to watch by the way.

Final prediction for GAC vs UST tonight.... double digit victory for Tommies
