Given the heated competition from the last matchup of purple vs. red and as much as I would like to see a clean game, I am setting the line for technical fouls at 2.  Submit your guesses now for over/under.

Snowman, Im going under two techs.  The Johnnies may get salty as they are getting murdered but I think 2 would be the limit.

p.s. Nice article on Ike but, the kid talks trash and has an arrogant attitude on the court the whole time.  If he ever decided to hit the weights ever, he would have been First Team All-American every year for the Tommies.  Kind of funny that he and Bain are boys though hehehe.

Dunk, the kid just can't put on weight.  It's my understanding that he's a regular in the weightroom & is probably one of the strongest players on the Tommie team.  I don't know if that's an indictment of the Tommies' strength program, but that's what I've been told.

Dunk-
You may not have intended to set off a bomb, but I gotta defend Ike.

Let me assure you that Ike is stronger than he looks.  And when he is at his best and attacking the basket, he is unstoppable.  Unfortunately he likes his turnaround post better than going to the hoop.  He has also been critized as not doing well with a more physical player, but I think he has improved a lot in that regard as I have seen him body up with some of the leagues bigger boys this year and do just fine.  He needs to outmatch Schafer tomorrow though.

His attitude is also a lot better.  I think it is a good thing for someone on the team to be cocky/arrogant.  Sean Sweeney was another UST-er like that.  It is more driven by competitiveness than ego.  It drives other players nuts, but comes in handy.  Also Ike will give his teamates and coaches plenty of credit.  For example in an article this year, he went out of his way to express though everyone mentions the "big 3" that UST starts 4 seniors.

I actually don't think Ike is very arrogant on the court.  I think the UST Arrogance Award goes to Schnettler.  That kid is an arrogant prick on the court.  If his shot doesn't fall, he whines.  If his shot is going in he's talking trashes and doing little chippy things like going for steals as a player is calling timeout to the ref.

Ahem, ahem, one more time, ahem... I don't think I heard that clearly in my doddering, advanced old age, did somebody say Tyler Westman?   ;D

Mebbe there's a reason why Mr. Schnettler & Mr. Westman show a special affinity for each other.  I think they both tend to get a bit whiny on occasion.

oAs,

I agree.  I don't see Ike as being arrogant on the court.  He get's a little excited when he does something good, that is not arrogrance.

Schnettler is a little cry baby.  As I was reviewing the photos I took of the game last Sat. I couldn't believe how many photos I had of Schnettler whining to the refs.  And he never smiles.  Isn't the game supposed to be fun?

Also, Cmob, what is your feelings on the new $1.99 triple stack now at Wendy's? How does it stack up to the Classic Triple? After all, you are the triple cheeseburger connoisseur.

Drake,
I have a very very very hard time believing Ike is the strongest on the team.  I would be willing to wager a lot of cash on that one.  Some people just can't put on muscle, that is a fact, BUT Ive watched him play a lot and may or may not have played against him and I have to tell you he is weak.  He is very easy to push around.  I don't think there is any way Keating and probably several other tommies aren't stronger than Ike in the weight room.  Im not saying he isnt a good baller.  He was the best player the last two years in my opinion by far.  Im just saying there are guys who are skinny yet strong as crap.....but Ike aint one of them.

Snowman, I do agree with you that his syle of play is not a banger by any means.  He likes the turn around and he is gifted enough to jump over everyone.  The article did show that he has good qualities and he gave his teammates shoutouts, but based on what I have seen, he was a  $%*# head on the court.  I think Ike is more annoying than Schnettler.

onearmedscot

I'd put my money on McCoy in the strength competition.  His hair might be stronger than Ike's upper body!

Besides, it's not all about strength.  See BVT.  First team all-american and he was not winning any power lifting competitions.

So oAS, don't hold back, tell us what do you really think about Schnettler.   :)

FYI - I just got back from a lunch run to UST.  They have roughly 200 tickets left.
