Ike Rose with 3 dunks and 16 points in the first half

"very thin, very unassuming type of player..certainly doesnt have that intimidation factor" haha

He may be butchering the names, but being in Olivia, two hours away, this is awesome.

Pipes go up 8-0 and even lead 28-22 before UST takes 32-30 halftime lead.

Rosefelt 16 pts, 3 dunks. Schnettler 4, Keating 2
Thrasher 11, DeRock 7

Pipes pushing the ball on nearly every trip. Even after a UST make.

Stop passing the ball to Charley Good when he is guarded by Ike. Not a good matchup.

UST 32
Hamline 30

Pipers looking very good in the first half, UST picked it up in the last 10 minutes to take the lead. UST, aside from Rosefelts 16, has balanced scoring (Shimek 7, Schnettler 4, couple guys with a bucket)-much the same story for Hamline, Thrasher 11, DeRock 7. Hamline forced a decent amount of Tommie tunrovers with aggressive ball pressure, and turned them into points on the other end. UST not shooting that well, while Hamline is hitting at a decent clip from the outside. Keating needs to get more involved, not getting enough touches to make a difference-especially with a height mismatch. Should be an entertaining second half-UST has had trouble with Hamline the last 3 years, especially at Hutton.

Touchdown Tommy

You expect the Pipers to start applying pressure full court? Doubtful that Sweeney will be on the bench at all in the second half, but they (deRock and Weiner) seemed to be rattling the Tommie guards a little, forcing some bad passes and keeping the offense from running smoothly at the perimeter.

Down 2, stay the course. Keep pushing the ball, but I think getting the ball down low is a bad idea unless they kick it back out for outside shots.

Keating and Schnettler will play a bigger role.

megalomaniac

They have to, otherwise its going to be way too close for comfort. Pipers are shooting pretty well outside, so UST needs to get a cushion early in the half-forsee a big Hamline run at the end.

Willy Wonka

Foster had a nice block tonight, but he's absolutely awful.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Wow, Trevor Jepma with 5 quick points to cut an 11 point SMU lead to 60-57.
