Such as the Auggies beating GAC by 11 @ GAC.... Impressive win for them, but a tough loss for GAC.  Any standout stats?

I think Watch posted some before all the obsssion with Rohr/Cormier/Trewick ate up bandwidth, but Solaja had 27 and 12, Cassens had 20. Sounds like a solid game all around for Auggie.

SMU is run by the Christian Brothers, the same order that runs (or ran) Cretin and a few HS in Chicago-land (not to be confused with the brandy)

Not to mention DeLaSalle, a tad bit closer to the Cities than Chicago.

Can someone explain to me about the "illegal application" for Trev?  I am surprised to hear that he allegedly applied for an asst job at GAC...In talking to him today he seemed pretty happy with how things have changed and the fact that some players were no longer with the team...

Nice win for Auggy...
Good play off the bench for the J's today
Bethel got a must win, the pipes seem to be falling
Gut check W for the Knights...

I see I got dinged again for something logically written on these pages

SUMMIT!!!!!

Sorry Pat....not sure why I always forget the Islanders when thinking of Christian Brothers schools.

oops it was DP not watch that broke the news on the Auggie game/stats

Any updates on Lieser's condition? VOJ?? (and you worry too much about karma  ;D )

HUGE win at Fargo for the Knights of Carleton College. Sounds like a very physical game tonight...D-Rake troubled with fouls playing only 23 minutes. CAR in Sole/Seoul/Soul possession of 3rd place. BEWARE THE GEESE/FACEMASK.

Linz is real good and should get serious consideration for MVP along with Wittwer (do not mean to start up the debate again, just saying).

The real McCoy is a solid player and definitely brings some intensity to an already intense team...but no one from UST can get consideration for MVP of da league because they is too balanced.

Primetime - nice post.  By the way, I know that part of the country all starts to look the same, but the Cobbs are in Moorhead, not Fargo.

Not a great day for GAC. To lose that big at home to a sub-.500 team is a punch in the gut.

However, this is only one punch in the gut. It's not a death blow, and is something that one can recover from. What it reminds me of is a GAC game six years ago, when they were in first place, went up to AUG, and lost, looking pretty poor. GAC came back quite nicely and recovered. GAC is not a team that has to rely on momentum and waves of intensity. GAC relies on its system and depth. I think they will be alright.

Reporter: Charles, is there anything about the incident you regret?

Sir Charles: Yeah, that we weren't on a higher floor.

ScubaSteve-

Was it a good source that told you Trewick applied for the GAC assistant job? From all the people around GAC I know, I heard nothing of it. I wonder where these rumors are coming from.

Augsburg always seems to be a team that gives front-runners trouble.  They have caused UST to break stride in the past. And it seems they continue to live up to that MO

The Fargo thing was a joke...I obviously know they are in Moorhead. (Concordia College Moorhead)

But since we are on the subject, how cold did it have to be up there the past week? If we had -10 degree wind chills it had to be pretty terrible up there...

I saw this on the Augsburg website and thought the board needed to see it:

I'm not so sure you did PT, but if you say so.   ;D Good question on the weather.  So I checked the weather channel & here are a few of the weather "highlights" this month.

Through 27 days of January the Twin cities had seven days when the temps dropped below -0.  Our coldest overnight being -16, & the other nights, a brisk, yet manageable -4 to -7 degrees or so.

In the junior twin cities of Fargo-Moorhead, they've had double the number of below -0 temperatures as Mpls-Stp, with 15 days in the month when the temperature dropped below -0.  At one point, they had eleven consecutive days when the nighttime lows dropped below -0!! Three times the temperatures dropped below -20.  That's chilly. Primetime Weather
