or here:

I will be happy.

Also ate here recently and it was great:

WW, Kudos as well from me on the Carlie preview. Should be interesting.

Sum whats the matter with the Nook?  I had nice meal there with some Johnnies boosters before the Js hoops team was treated rudely by Augsburg at Augsburg earlier this year...

Willy, I read the article that Myles wrote in December about the "raw deal" Johnson got. (Nice interview with Myles by the way.) It is funny to me because the ref that made it personal is the same ref that told Carleton players in that game, "If I see someone on the ground, I call a foul whether I see it happen or not." Referring to an incident in the game when Jonkers was called for a blocking foul when he was on the ground because he slipped on the floor, no where near the other player. Come on, when I heard this I couldn't believe a ref would admit to that. At least stick to your guns and made it seem like you know what you are doing out there. Yes, Johnson maybe a flopper at times, but I think this year he has actually gotten better with that, but either way, call the game the way you see it, not how you feel or how you think it is going to happen. It's not fair to anyone.

Appreciate the feedback. Honestly, the combination of poor reffing and Johnson's tired act both get under my skin. One is something we've all had to deal with for years. The other is something you say is now under control — and I can only hope that you're right.

A 1v1 game in the streets between Archer and Johnson would be something I want absolutely NO part of watching. Both seem to have turned the emotional/behavioral corner...but it could get dicey tomorrow.

Since I'm here, I might as well highlight my latest post. Highlights include:

• Hoag humiliating himself
• A UST player wearing tights
• McGivern creating a humorous piece in response to getting called out by the Strib
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Nook/Shamrocks owned by former Natives...Nativity Natives that is...Ted Casper and Mike Runyon..well he went to Hi-C (Highland Catholic), but his cousins Mark, Mike and Jim (there was a girl too) went to Nativity.

Of small note, Casper's parents own the Cherokee Sirloin on Smith Ave in West St. Paul. Highly remind all of these....go with the Molly Burger (Paul Molitor).

Also note, Matt Birk, Kyle Okposo and Josh Hartnett are Natives along with this duder. Surprisingly, girls don't go for the "I went to grade school with Josh Hartnett" line. They do go for the "I played baseball with Mauerize" line until they realize I'm not giving them his cell phone number.

What were we talking about?

Oh yeah, St. Paul bars. The Tap! Two blocks from Nativity. I'm also a huge fan of Sweeneys on Dale and the Dubliner on University.

Now for my big beef...PLEASE start spelling names right, people! As my blog says, Jon Bain's name was misspelled by Reusse two years ago and now Brett Tuma is referred to as "Tom" in the latest story. Really?

Billy Wonka...i dont understand what you are trying to say??

What are the predictions for the play-off spots? From where it stands now, anyone can go from #2 to #6 or the other way around.

BBLover, way too early to start making those type of predictions. With most teams having 4 games left alot can happen between now and the end of the regualr season. Ask the same question in a week and things will be a lot more clear.

then what is the point of pre season predictions?

+K Cmob...great musings put a smile on my face this am...

So are Wonka and Gene M starting a blogging club?  Similiar to a chess club at school?  Drake this is something you might want to get involved with...Interesting photos of Hoag on your blog...guess everyone has to do something to earn the paycheck

Wonka, I understand what you are saying about Zorro's flopping but last Saturday he seemed to be in control and just playing hard, and I know you may not believe this next post, but the officiating in the league is not all that bad, are there some weaker officials, yes but its not as bad as some would have you believe.

Hey if you want to hear something very unique, todays Johnnies game might be it, because of scheduling quirks, the Js announcer will be on in Moorhead as well, and will be doing his best to be impartial....ok start the cheapshots now fellas...

VOJ,  Read my follow up post to DP. Nothing wrong with the Nook, I love it....just don't want it to get more crowded. ;D

Carleton claims an 18-14 lead on back-to-back jacks by Blaise...but St. Thomas responds with a 17-0 run over the next 5+ minutes.

Looks like it could be another blowout for the Tommies.

Late first  half heroes for th Tommies - "Tom" Tuma Little floor general, & Alex Healey's D.  Blaise Davis for Carleton is ICE!!!  Peltier for UST is dropping in some lucky slop.   ;)

Goose gets called for a charge on a post up & several minutes later draws a charging foul on McCoy doing the patented Johnson Archer Flop. A beautiful flop if you're a Carlie fan.   ::) ;D  McCoy gets back even with an end of 1st half follow up on an offensive reb & gets the putback to put the Tommies up by 9.

The Tommies just keep coming at you in waves.  I think the Knights are actually playing pretty well.  The game is being played at a tempo that favors them, but they've missed 5 free throws and that has hurt them.  The Tommie's depth really starts to take its toll on their opponent in the second half so I think the first couple of minutes out of the locker room will be very important for the Knights.

UST is doubling and tripling Johnson in the low post at times.  He needs to pass out of that to someone who might have a good look at a 3.

Blaise Davis is a good looking FY.

Nice sock look by Nicolai.  He must have been the one with the tights on in the Tommie news clip.

Gusties down 46-37 to Hamline with 11 minutes left. Could the GAC alumni take the court for rest of the game to win by 20? I've got to think they want to right now.

A loss would be a disappointing way to celebrate the 100th anniversary.

Carleton down 9 with 3 minutes left. Been a good fight.
