Arnold Schwarzenegger was kind of pregnant in that one movie...

i like it when boombalahties "kind of" lose their clothes

Or their inhibitions......Kind of worried for the Cards/Pipers game tonight. St. Marys came back from over 20 down two years ago in Hutton when a Mr. Cormier hit a game winning shot at the buzzer. Last year Hamline gave them their first (only?) win inside the same building. Here's to hoping they keep in rolling.

If the Pipers win tonight, and the Auggies beat the Johnnies, I'll make an appearance at the gym Joe Hutton built Saturday. I can even get a "friend" in free with my media pass. Boo-yah!

As the funky old dude from the Mens 'Wearhouse tv commercial says - "I guarantee it".

i think the economy got the best of that funky old dude...i think i saw him holding a sign that read..."mustache rides for $5"...it was kinda awkward

Now playing GAC on the road Saturday could be a challenge, but they ain't losing tonight.  As the funky old dude from the Mens 'Wearhouse tv commercial says - "I guarantee it". (Now that quote I'm sure about Greg. Do they have Men's Wearhouse in Chicago?)

Yep. Except that in the Chicago commercials, the funky old dude says, "Men's Wearhouse. Wear our clothes, and the boombalahties will kind of lose theirs. I guarantee it."

I, for one, am hoping the Auggies win tonight, but mainly for the sake of simplicity. The Jim Smith situation has me nervous.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

The NCAA guidelines are the same as what the Elias Sports Bureau uses in major league baseball (and presumably, other pro sports for which it is the official statistician). It's odd but it's not like this isn't unprecedented.

I completely understand that fact. However, how many have ever achieved a milestone or broken a record for, essentially, doing nothing? The examples listed on NCAA.org seem to suggest this might be a first, *if* it actually were to happen. Can you imagine the reaction to this announcement from the PA guy if SJU beats the Gusties to end the regular season?

"Saint John's coach Jim Smith just became the second coach in Division III history to win 700 games. Congratulations to coach Smith...but he isn't here tonight."

That just seems silly.

Coach Smith will be in the house and will sit courtside to the left of the bench at the scorers table...in fact I might have un precedented access to the in game huddles tonight...who knows

Gusties up over Olaf by 31 at the half! 47-16. You can always get healthy against the Oles.

Go Duke!

Correction the final score was 75-72.  I'll have to come back later after my blood pressure returns to normal.  ;D  That's why I can only use the "Guarantee" on special occasions. That one was a mother of mothers!
