Van Sickle hit two 3s to pull within 53-45, but SJU responded with two bombs of its own to pull ahead 59-45 with about 5 minutes to play.

Weird finish up in Collegeville.

SJU with two straight turnovers to let the Gusties creep within 9ish. Hard to understand what happened next (have I mentioned I *hate* the GAC announcer lately?), but SJU was called for a tech after a double foul maybe? The teams traded free throws and the crowd sounds rowdy.

The Johnnies are still up around 10 though.

It's a final at Schoenecker, St. Thomas 71, Hamline 49. Students were chanting "un-de-fea-ted!" in the final minute. Congrats to the Tommies on a perfect regular season. Let's hope they can keep it going now that they're in the post-season.

I got this off the Carlie website...

Zach Johnson scored 23 points in a 64-51 loss at Bethel in the regular-season finale for both teams. That result, coupled with Saint John's 71-60 victory over Gustavus and Saint Mary's 82-75 home upset of Augsburg, means the Johnnies are the #3 seed, Augsburg #4, Carleton #5 and Gustavus #6 when first-round action kicks off on Monday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. KDHL 920 AM will be there with the call as Carleton

Does this mean GAC is going back to C-ville on Monday???

WW--wish I could be more positive---but I look at turnovers as somewhat of a mental error (albeit some are obviously defensively caused)---and by and large you have bright people doing stupid things--and as I study their losses the 'points off turnovers' has been deadly.

Secondly---you have got to come to play---every game-not just some of them.

My frustration stems from never knowing which team is going to show up. Hope they bring the right one Monday night
