Nites — I've got connections, but no clout. I'm not sure why they decided to get rid of KRBI — who has an office basically on campus — for the clowns in New Ulm...but I know it's been a touchy subject around St. Peter.

Willy I think KRBI was telling the GAC that they were going to cut back on coverage and the station has gone dark now anyway...the frequency was purchased and they shut it down...Clay still works in the area, but I believe he is in Mankato...from what I understand New Ulm and GAC have worked out a partnership deal of sorts...

Does anybody see any upsets coming on wednesday?  No visiting team gets calls at the shoe, and UST is so tough at home.  While Madsen is a beast on his home court.  hopefully GAC makes it a close one at the shoe this time around.

I second the congrats to thrasher and madsen.  But i'm hoping thrasher wins out with madsen a close second.  I may have a little bias.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I didn't see it.  Was anyone else shocked to hear this ???  Do you think he was forced out ???

Curt Kietzer has announced his resignation after 12 seasons as head men's basketball coach at Macalester College. Kietzer informed the college and his team of his intentions on Friday.

"Over the years, whenever someone has asked me what I enjoy most about coaching at Macalester, I have answered, 'the students'. And it is my players that I will miss the most. I plan to stay in touch with the alum I coached and my colleagues," said Kietzer. "I am very confident that Macalester will hire a great replacement for me and I wish them and the team all the best."

During his tenure, Kietzer's record was 112-189. Among his most notable accomplishment was his team's success from 2001-02 through 2004-05, when the Scots made it to the conference playoffs three times in four years.

Seriously? Is there a more out-of-touch poster than Loco?

Unreal.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

S-L-O-W board today... wow

any predictions on tomorrow's games? Local, you're usually chomping to predict-- what do you see happening?

Kudos to Tim Madson and Tony Thrasher for making the cut as finalists for the Josten's Award...making the MIAC proud! Here's hoping you guys finish 1-2 in the voting, either of you first :)

VOJ-- Did Mr Burns behave last night? The box score/play-by-play look like he focused on playing rather than incidentals.

ROR-- the bandwagon may have slid off the road but there is room for you in the Town Car

I'd rather put a fresh coat of wax on the bandwagon.

I'm upset that I forgot to turn in my ballot. I clearly would have made Lonnie a first-teamer to rock the vote. If he's not one of the Top 26 players in the league right now, I'd by stunned.

I understand your feeling on Robinson, but if you include him, why not also include Anders Halvorsen, who I would take in a heartbeat if I had the the opportunity to select the top 25 players in the MIAC. He had similar offensive stats stats with a better shooting percentage playing and 19 blocks playing 15 minutes a game (I realize Lonnie was more of a defensive force).  The point is , the number of players from a given team is typically limited to a reasonable level to allow as many teams as reasonably possible to be included. In the case of the Tommies, who have such depth of talent, someone was going to be the odd man out.

HammyPipers

Fong's injury looks to be a little worse than expected.  I heard he has a moderate tear of one of the quad muscles and will be rehabbing for 2 months.

Man, what a weak board.  ??? Semis finals tonight & nary a peep? No smack talking, in-depth game analysis & breakdown, nuthin, nada, zero, zip?  Sad.   ::) ;)

I'm almost embarrassed to say what I'm preoccupied with...trying to get the radio to work for state girls hockey :-[

I'm not sure I can be of much help in the breakdowns for tonight. I like the Auggies going after revenge, but Bethel has been playing well lately.

And I don't really want to provide too many honest thoughts on the other game. Let's just say my fingers are crossed...

Cool, cool.  Considering your allegiances I can understand why you wouldn't want to provide any last minute comments.

Where's BethelGuy or Bet34?  I'm really torn as to which game to check out tonight.  Will it be the revenge/payback game by the Augsburg Dawgs or the continued late season surge by the Bethel Royals?

At the Shoe can the Tomcats continue their mastery over conference foes, or will the Gusties be the team to finally break through the UST 40+ game home court domination?

Heads, tails, heads, tails.

There's my cue.....Paulson shows McCoy who's all conference tonight, Gusties 75 Tommies 70.

TommieHoops4Life

The Tommies are almost impossible to beat on their home court in the playoffs. I say ALMOST in reference to Sweeney's freshman year in the MIAC title game, that was a bad day.

UST wins by 10-15 tonight. Hoping that somebody dunks on Paulson!

gacbacker

I like your thought AO, but if the Gusties are to win tonight they will need Paulson to dominate inside and several people to get hot from the outside.

I think tonight's game is going to be similar to the first two...close first half, Tommies too much to handle in the second half.
