Sum - any mortgage replacement plans, or B&B (burger & beer) bets on the line for tonight's games, or just the voice of experience making several observations?   ;)

DP, Won enough with the last couple locks I offered...No mortgage left.  ;)

No one took me up on my B & B offer the other night.....so just a couple of observations from afar! ;)

I guess I should have flown out to Vegas with your advice.  Are you planning on coming down to the cities this weekend or next?  I'm sure we could find something to bet double or nothing on (that would be a burger & beer, not the house  :D) .  How about an over/under on the Gustie turnovers & then we could make it more specifically, TOs by the Gustie posts?  ;)

I set the opening line at 14 Gustie TOs.  Any takers? Over/under?

Drake, I had planned on coming to St.Paul on Saturday. A little fly in the ointment came up, which I hope to resolve by Friday night.

GAC averaged 13.5 TO's for the year.... I will go with the over.

I'm confused. You seemed to diss GAC's turnover issue (2nd game) in the previous post and now you say it's pretty good. And what is "a relative basis"? 11 is amazing, considering the teams involved.

Some numbers to chew on...

GAC ave. TOs: 13.5
UST forced TOs: 20
GAC ave. vs. UST: 20 (29 and 11)

If the Gusties can hit 11 or fewer, I like their chances at an upset...but I expect the number to be around 20-25 tonight.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Interesting, the last two teams that had less than 14 TOs against the Tommies were Carleton with 13 & the Gusties with 11.  Both of those games were played on the road in Northfield & St. Peter.

Ok, how about this?

1) Pick the total # of Gustie TOs
2) Pick the total # of Gustie Post TOs

1) The loser has to buy the winner a burger at a TC area establisment.
2) The loser has to buy the winner a drink of choice at same TC area establishment.

Wager to be paid within 60 days of bet.  ;)

In case you've signed off & log back on later - I'll go 14 TOs, 7 Post Tos.

1. 19 Total TO's
2. 8 Post TO's

1.  16
2. 6

Are we going by who gets closest on both?  Will you settle bets individually, or collectively?

Was offficiating @ North St Paul hosting Hill Murray.  Happened to notice a certain piper coach in attendance...

Fritz must have got his wish.

Coombs is doing the GAC/UST game. Expect lopsided foul totals and a technical on at least one Gustie.

Tommies up 9-2, Gusties rally to tie 11-11.

Tommies up 23-11...Gusties not rallying. Yet?

33-14 now.

I'm turning out the lights already.

How in the h -e-double hockey sticks does that guy get to work the playoffs? He shouldn't even be working regular-season games, much less a playoff game. He's the worst. He worked Bethel-Carleton on Saturday and made about 10 calls (both ways) where players (and sometimes his partners) gave him that look, like "Really???" I wish the MIAC would step up and do something about this issue. At least get some new blood in there and get some of these guys that have been horrid for years out of there.

Tech of the Gustie bench. Hate to say I told you so but...I told you so.

Coombe is a joke.

Of GAC staff techs, wonder about percentage given by Coombe's crew. 85 percent?

Tommies up 61-31 right now. Just a throttling.

Some lowlights to, uh, highlight.

1. GAC fans were chanting "You are fat" at McCoy. After he completed a 3-point play. While UST was up 25. Really?
2. A GAC fan was escorted out of the gym in handcuffs by St. Paul's finest, kicking and screaming the whole way.
3. The GAC announcer is still going nuts over "THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES"...but my favorite call was his "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE bit in the first half. Just ridiculous.

I mean, really, I'm not sure how the night could have been a bigger black eye for the Gustie faithful.

Bethel up 61-53. Hopefully the Royals (or Auggies) bring a better challenge on Saturday.
