Can we just replace Myles Brand with AO and get this over with? He's got answers for everything  ::) ::)

It might be a little late for those waiting in line, but I've got some feedback for the postseason awards and expectations.

Hoping Gene and/or his lackeys run a good blog tonight. Will others be listening on the radio for some updates here? I'll be stuck in the office waiting on two phone calls...

Willy...if that were to happen the UMAC would probably get their own TV deal with ESPNU...so knock it off...+K however I got a chuckle from what you wrote

Come around? Scott might be the most talented player in the league...but he had no business winning the MVP this year. After some poking around the MIAC site, I now have no doubt that his stats are the weakest of any MVP winner in league history.

Now stop distracting me...I have state wrestling to write about!  :-\
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

T's having their way with Aurora doubling them up at 52-26

If we needed further proof that UST's SID Gene McGivern follows our board, check this excerpt from his latest blog: One Game Season

There are some similarities in these senior-led record-setting Tommie teams, but one huge difference. That team of 15 years ago played in the pre-internet era. There was no national poll, no chat rooms, no websites, no video clips (a little radio) and far less distractions.

And, then there's this...

These Tommies can't re-do the 2008 NCAA playoff game or change any other postseason results of past UST teams. They have no burden to prove anything for the MIAC. They don't need to make history, and don't need to dismantle the entire 15-team bracket. They don't need to prove any bloggers wrong or meet any high expectations.

Well, various participants on this board may disagree with Gene's last comments (ahem Willy, VOJ  :-*) but I think most of us would agree on this:

MIAC UNITED

GO UST!!!

Drake...with all due respect they are number one in the country, I like Gene alot and he does a great job, but don't downplay the skills we have all watched and admired this year, I want others to experience the two losses I had to sit through...and tonight they are playing like it...doubling Aurora with :40 seconds left in the first half...Congrats to the Tommies on what looks to be a 40 point win in the making....

I agree with CMOB they do need to play to the expectations, this team can be a special one...

I agree with you to a point...his numbers were not what Zorro's were or Madson's but he is the best player on the best team, I was only trying to rationalize the coaches thinking on that one...

Apparently, the Tommies are too quick for the video feed as it seems to freeze up almost everytime they go up for a shot. >:( >:( >:(

Point went to the FT line about 20 more times than Cornell...wonder if Cornell borrowed Gusty gear tonight

Sum - see my post above.  I had trouble getting it to go, but it worked (aside from the constant freeze ups) once I downloaded what it said.  They need to hire a website designer to help them make the site more user friendly.

How does a Junior beat out 2 well desiring seniors for the MVP?
Scott is a great player and on a great team and should be the winner next year if he keeps it up, not this year when 2 seniors have better numbers than him. Take Johnson or Madson away from their team and it makes a huge difference (most valuable). Take Scott away and the Tommies have plenty others to take his spot and probably still finish at the top.

Well, I found out the video feed didn't like Firefox (which I was using).  I tried it on Internet Explorer and it worked after I clicked on that message on the top of the screen.  Hope that helps you.

finally got it. Thanks Nites.

The Tommies remind me a bit of the Arkansas Razorbacks under Nolan Richardson.  They full court press all game and come at you in waves.  Eventually, they wear you down.
