If UST wins on Friday, who knows, mebbe ol' Drake might amble on down to Chi-town on Saturday. ;)

Staying, no doubt, at the . . . Drake Hotel.   ;)

Is there a Drake Hotel in Chicago? I know there was formerly a Drake Hotel in Mpls & there is a Palmer House in Chicago.  ;)

It is actually one of the best hotels in Chicago but being fairly old the rooms are a bit small

Question for all you basketballers that I was thinking about while walking around the Garden

Gym A. The Shoe

Gym B. Madson Square Garden

Gym C. Final Fours in a dome

Has anyone noticed a difference in depth perception on shots?  It seems like it would be easier to make shots in A opposed to B and C because the wall is closer.

Any thoughts on this?  Sorry if this is a dumb question.

There is a Wyndham-Drake Hotel in Oakbrook which is much closer to Wheaton.

The Drake Hotel in Chicago is right on the Lakefront in the Streeterville area. It overlooks North Street beach and is right next to the Hancock Tower and Water Tower place. It is definitely a high end hotel (my son likes the couch in the elevator). It would take about 45 minutes to drive to Wheaton from there. The college is 20 miles west of downtown but there is a Metra train line that stops at the College avenue station in Wheaton from downtown.

wow, drake, uw-platteville 30-5?!  that is filthy!    :o

No, the real filthy number is 4 championships in 10 tries! That is unbelievable.

North Park has five championships in nine tries. ;)

North Park??   ???  Is that the 8-17 (0-14 in conference) North Park Vikings who finished the season on a 15 game losing streak?  That one?   ;)

They can never take the banners away, no matter how many bad seasons you have afterwards. And, believe me, NPU has had some post-titles seasons that were worse than this one.

Wow, a week's worth of postings to catch up on was fairly fun.

"You're crazy man. I like you, man, but you're crazy."

Congrats to UST - go get'em in 'Nois. Back to adjusting from 85 degree weather in Fort Myers to below zero here. BRRRRRRR!

Not that I'll be staying at either one, but which one is nicer - the Drake, or the Palmer House Hilton?  Many years ago I stayed at the Palmer House & it was a shabby, chic, blueblood type hotel.

The Palmer House has been updated and is decent but the Drake is 5 star quality.

Could be the greatest game I have had the pleasure of watching. Johnny Flynn played 67 min. 102 combined with last nights game. March Madness

I was fortunately enough to be in the Garden for the 4th quarter including the final minute and in the production truck for the rest of the game.  Best basketball game I have ever seen by far!!!

Aside from a number of insane dunks by Robinson, my favorite part was Devendorf's shot and subsequently getting waved off.  I'm not sure I have ever seen such an arrogant player.

If the next couple games are half as good(and half as long) this will be a great weekend  :)

Fourth quarter? What game were you at again?...

Go Tommies!

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Just giving the Mighty Sensei grief.    ;D  Five titles is impressive.

Seriously, I'm not sure who that guy thinks he is. Did you see his TO-like celebration after his 3 against Providence?
