I've heard from a couple people that Hamline will lose 4 - 5 players to transfer when the current school year ends.

If I'm not mistaken, this is about the 4th or 5th time you've brought this topic up.  Not to be harsh (well, mebbbe a lttle bit  ::) ;) ) Either name names, or drop it.

Mr Drake - I could ramble on with long discertations like you have done over and over and over but I choose not too.

I responded to the previous post that was asking about transfers.  I've thrown this out there TWO times asking for feedback.  When I know for sure the players that are transferring, I will be happy to share the names.  All I'm doing is asking for any other transfer feedback or updates on other players.

Hmm, let's take a closer look at this shall we? ???

You have a grand total of 9 posts.  Four of your nine posts, or nearly half of your posts you have directly, or indirectly mentioned alleged Hamline transfers without a shard of evidence or proof.

While we all realize this is an opinion based message board, typically most posters who tend to stick around can offer up some facts to support their opinions.  You have yet to do so.  And that's a critical distinction.

If you want to traffic in gossip & hearsay, and we all occasionally do - back it up with some facts.

Rumor mill has 2-3 players leaving Hamline this spring, kids who contributed this year.  What's going on over there?

Your first post is fine, although if you've been following the board at all, you know that other other posters have already brought up this topic this winter.

After several days the board is mildly buzzing about Chris Palmer's pending transfer to Bethel and the question is raised about other high profile transfers in the conference.  (Note a key distinction: players have been named & identified)

After your 1st post regarding potential Hamline transfers, Jimmyhoops & TheSuperfan engage in a brief exchange regarding Hamline & their potential transfers.

A quick facebook search might answer some questions. I have also heard the Hamline rumors. Whitmore might have lost some guys but he kept the right one with the man in the middle. Hipp deserves all the post season accolades he's received.

Whitmore was lucky to retain Hipp at Hamline, but regardless of the coach Hipp would have been at Hamline for his basketball career given his family connections.

A day or so later you chime in with your 2nd post:

It will be interesting to see/hear the "spin" coming from the Whitmore regime on why they're losing quality players there - past and present - during his tenure.

At this point it's obvious that The SuperFan & Jimmy Hoops are aware of rumors regarding transfers & the Hamline program. So when JimmyHoops asked the question on March 31 regarding "more transfers"  he wasn't asking about Hamline's alleged transfers.

Check out the Slam Dunk Contest tonight at 8 on ESPN2.  D3 guy got voted in to the dunk contest.  Great for Division III hoops.

Sorry if someone else posted this but thought it was worth sharing.

Any word  on any more transfers or commitments?

Yet you found it necessary to follow with this post:

Huh? ::)

So tell us what we don't know.  Who's transferring, why do you like Coach Wohler so much (post 4), why do you dislike Coach Whitmore, why is there a revolving transfer door at Hamline, etc.

TheSuperfan

A little birdy told me several Hamline Pipers are considering transferring.

Sorry for the ruffled feathers on the transfer subject, not my intention.  I have not gone back and checked old posts on this site, obviously I should - my fault.

I referenced Wohler because of the print he was receiving leading up to state.  One of the articles mentioned the good job he did at HU.  As to dis-liking Whitmore, thats far from the truth and the comment isn't called for.  I would say he's done a good job at HU making them a contender.  I've never said I dis-like the guy.

If this HU/transfer has been on this site for awhile, I'll scroll back and check the history.

Trying to help out - hoopsup - (and catching up on some reading)  - Per Shooter last Wednesday...

"Jamison Rusthoven has left Hamline University as men's basketball assistant to become assistant coach at Wisconsin-Platteville".

Looks like the Pipes may look kinda different on the court as well as off...  :-\
As long as people continue to believe that anyone can coach - They will also continue to believe that anyone can criticize a coach.

Well, well, well, that's an interesting bit of news.  It's also interesting that none of our Piper backers haven't been mentioning this bit of news. I'll have to put out a couple of feelers & see if I can uncover anymore on this.  ;)

And while we're knocking off a few cobwebs & dust in this room.  ;D

I guess somewhere in MIAC–land pigs are flying high over Papahoops' house. First, in the upset of the decade he wins the MIAC pickems contest this winter, & now Zach Randolph & the Memphis Grizzlies beat the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Somewhere else in MIAC-land, a silenced Willy Wonka is muttering with resentment and burning all of his favorite NBA jerseys.

Apparently there is word of Anthony Tucker (formerly of Iowa and Winona State) looking at attending Hamline. Of course there are also rumors of Tucker looking at U of M and Iowa State, so take it with a large grain of salt.

He led the NSIC in scoring... I can't fathom what sort of damage he could do in the MIAC.

Tucker is damaged goods.  If Hamline takes him they will be selling their soul to the devil.  Good luck to his teammates.  You think there are people thinking of leaving the program now, wait till Tucker comes[if he does]

bball1122

They already did it once with Ray Brown - what makes you think they won't do it again?

jimhoops1234

Nelson Whitmore has withdrawn his name from consideration for the UW Eau Claire job per John Casper Jr ( Leader Telegram) on Twitter. He was scheduled to interview on Monday.
