Pretty quiet here this week.

I wonder if there is any thought or possibility that Tommie-Johnnie part 4 could be played in an empty gym?

Swarthmore will be.  Witt and UMU going with limited fans - athlete families and that's about it.

Swarthmore is in Delaware County, PA which has 1 current case, although several surrounding counties in PA and NJ have cases.
UMU and Witt are not very close to Cuyahoga county (Cleveland) where cases have been reported.

Interesting.

Interesting.

Ohio has been put under a state of emergency and the governor is recommending families only for all HS and college athletic events.  They are just following guidance, I believe.

Oh right. I forgot about that.

SJU just announced that the game sold out.

That only took 15 minutes.
I bought my tickets nearly 26 hours ago. UST fans could buy thru noon (Central) today.   I wonder what the "secondary market" will get for tix?  ;D

After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Not surprised. It's a small venue that has become even smaller with some of the seating reconfiguration that has occurred over the past decade (i.e., reserved and widened seats behind the benches). When I was at SJU, capacity was 3,000 +/-, now it's somewhere in the 2,600 vicinity.

With the SJU students back, the place should be hoppin'.

2600 is definitely not small by Division III standards.

I just got this on my news feed but the NCAA will not allow fans during the D1 tourney. Will D3 be right behind?

This question is still up in the air.  Earlier in the week the NCAA was saying it's the host school's call for this weekend, but I'm not sure if that's still true.  There will definitely be no fans in Fort Wayne or Atlanta after the NCAA announcement.

It may not matter. NCAA just announces tournaments will be closed to the public.

As we've learned previously in this tournament, the schools have more power over this than the NCAA central office does. SJU could conceivably still host people this weekend.

I suspect that decision making authority might be shifting as we speak.
