maybe i was being slightly ironical in deferring to Joldersmag over George.  However, I think we can all agree that Joldersmag is the greatest blonde inside-outside threat to have played in the miac in the last, say, 20 years; soren nelson of course being a continuation of EJ's legacy.

secondly, it sounds as if concordia has upcoming scrimmages with UM-Crookston and Northern State.  The northern state game is actually an exhibition match with an official spot on the schedule.  i believe my beloved cobbers may be on the track with the N St. train coming through.

I went to a Northern State basketball camp when i was younger and i must say that Meyer knows what he is talking about. A  very intense coach that knows what he is doing.

Agree 100% with you about Meyers. He's one of the best coaches around.

Tjones-You make some good points but after being a part of a program such as the Zags you would not want to be  a walk on and sit the bench for Duke. Playing in college is something you have forever and being a walkon that rides the pine....you might as well buy season tickets in the front row. Even though it looks great as an outsider. Be a college coach, you can sit on the bench with the team then, but being a player at some level is way better than sitting the bench anywhere.

After looking at the St. Thomas roster I have to imagine that they will start Sweeney, Schnettler, Shimek, Keating, and Roosefelt.  That's one tough group of players.  What will their weakness be? 

Still no word from Augsburg or Bethel as to who's back and who's new. 

Thanks to everyone who provided information about scrimmages this week.  I also found out that Hamline is scrimmaging Minneapolis Community College on friday afternoon.  I won't be able to make that one, but if anyone goes I would be interested in hearing some opinions on the new freshmen that everyone seems to be talking about.

on another side note...it sounds like there is going to be a nice blind date up at SJU...if you dont like each other when you meet make up a story about how you need to go home because you forgot to turn off your richard simmons work out video and you dont want the tape to wear out
