Well, please let me explain.

I'm in a program called Leadership St. Paul which meets for a full Thursday each month.  So sorry no updates on oas.com and no posts today.  I was busy with work...go figure.

I called you Willy for a women's MAC update as i was with some coaches looking for a final score.  I got my infor from Cella.  No surprise there.

As for the game, Schaeffer's killed us.  Ohme fades away way too much on his shot and Westman is a bit of a headcase...exemplified by good 3, good 3, airball 3.

Good to hear you are alright. I would like an orange shirt. Thanks for asking.   Hope to see the site updated tomorrow!!

oAS good to hear you are alive and well!

Some big games with playoff implications tomorrow. HAM @ SJU and BET @ CORD. GAC has Auggie Tech, so the Johnnies will need a win to keep pace in the race for the 3 seed. Has anyone heard a report on the status of Henrich's ankle. Last word I had was he is questionable. I would think Brink would probably pick up a majority of his minutes if he can't go.

BET needs a win at CORD. They close with HAM and CAR. I still think they finish #6.

I just can't see SMU finishing any better than 8-12, They have UST and STO at home and got to CAR.

willy - I've seen many a MIAC game this year, just none lately.   ???

sumander - If the Johnnies are without Henrichs does that mean that both Schafers could potentially start?  Or what about Fogt?  Or do you think that starting Brady Brink would be a better matchup?

Either way I think that will be an exciting game tomorrow up in Collegeville.  Hamline will have to do a better job of shutting down Lieser and Westman on the perimeter.  I would mention Tim Veurink, who lit up the Pipers the first go around, but he's hardly played as of late.  Any idea why?

sumander

Local, I would think Brink would get the start. He has started 5 games this year, while S. Schafer has not started any. That being said, bothe Schafers were on the floor at the same time in the MAC game. I just think Brink offers more than S. Schafer, both on offense and defense.

I am not sure why Veurink hasn't seen the floor much lately. My feeling is he is a fairly one dimensional player. He can get hot and shoot the ball. Defensively he is adequate at best and may be a liability.

HAM is definitely going to have have someone stay in Westman's  face.

SJU will miss Henrichs on the boards if he can't go.

Imagine having your opponent drop 26 treys on you and you not hitting a single one only to win the game.

This isn't MIAC related but it is the craziest box score I've seen in a while.

You guys thought Conboy's 21 shots was a lot.  Imagine 34 shots heaved at the rim.

OAS - I found that boxscore interesting so I looked at the  Grinnell web page and it says that John Grotberg is a 6-2 freshman from Ann Arbor, Michigan and that he's averaging over 31ppg this year which ranks him #1 in all of Division III.  Wow!  :o

sumander - I agree about Westman.  He's shot the ball at a crazy high percentage lately, especially from 3-point land.

Congrats to Kieth Eckhoff on earning ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team.  A great honor for a truly deserving great player.  Nice work Kieth.

Word on the street is Henrichs won't go for the Johnnies. Ankle is just to bad. Expect Fogt and Brink to pick up the extra minutes. To bad for Henrichs. I think this hurts his hopes for All-Conference.
