Congrats to Kieth Eckhoff on earning ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team.  A great honor for a truly deserving great player.  Nice work Kieth.

Nice award for a guy who hardly played!!

But, that being said, I understand he's a very fine young man and I'm sure quite deserving. Congrats to him!

;)

Word on the street is Henrichs won't go for the Johnnies. Ankle is just to bad. Expect Fogt and Brink to pick up the extra minutes. To bad for Henrichs. I think this hurts his hopes for All-Conference.
Bummer. And it hurts SJU's hopes if he doesn't bounce back. That's just from my football perspective. But they still beat the Pipsqueaks tomorrow by a touchdown, a field goal, and a safety. Mail it in.
Sumander- looking forward to my wagon ride tomorrow

I would suspect Henrichs would gladly trade another all-conference award for a run in the playoffs. For what it's worth, I think getting him healthy is the J's #1 priority.

Fins, Let's keep er' rolling!

I thought the Henrichs injury early in the second half was my opportunity to prolong my quest for a SJU t-shirt...I was wrong.

I hope he's better soon.  Nice ball player.

Westman...not all that impressed.

Go Scots!

Willy Wonka

While we're discussing injuries...Olson could return to the Gustie lineup earlier than first thought. It might not be until playoffs, but he could provide a nice shooting punch off the bench.

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, as Wittwer has played very well since being inserted in the starting lineup.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

hey watchmen,

Don't you dare wear that shirt in Collegeville.  In fact, I would host a sacrificial burning on Watab Island.

oAs - I watched the webcast. Westman "struggled" with his shot Wednesday. He even missed 2 FT's. He had only missed 1 all year. He has absolutely stroked the ball the last couple games at SJU. I was putting him in Schnettler's league. Not sure if he belongs there yet!

He hit two quick threes in the first half and you could tell he thought he was feeling it...until his third three in about four possessions went two feet left of the rim.  To his credit he pulled back a bit and had a decent game.

im.....shocked at what im hearing.  OAS claims he is not that impressed with westman?  SUmander says he may not be as good a shooter as schnettler? Westman has sat out 6 games this year but...is 5 in the miac for most threes made (44) and of all the guys ahead of him only phillips is shooting a better %.  Westman is making them at a rate of 46.8% only behind keating and phillips.  Schnettler is shooting fg's at 48.4% and westman is at 50%.  I dont know, take it for what its worth is guess but it looks as if they are both in the same league.

SJU4Life, Thnaks for checking the stats. I went against my own cardinal rule, posting before doing my research.

Watchmen--

You'll wear it with pride.  Don't listen to TDT.  You're above him.

I'd hate to see Westman when he was impressive.....oh wait i have. Like when he nailed a 25 footer with 10 seconds left to put a nail in MAC's coffin last game or when he hit a 25 footer of a screen with less than a second left to tie UST. Westman can be impressive if he gets open looks and even if he doesn't get open looks for that matter. You just gotta see him at the right time  :)
