Drake Palmer

oAs - sorry i forgot to mention it, those are nice pics of Willy on your website.  That was a serious blow upside his head!  ;D

One last thing about Weaver.  What makes him exciting to watch is that he's the last person you'd look at & expect to pull off a major facial on somebody. He looks like he's a future accountant & accidentally walked onto the basketball court.  The next thing you know, he's trying to dunk over you!

I think the fact that Weaver isn't 6'6'' makes it pretty cool that he can jump. You don't normally see alot of 6'2'' guys in the MIAC jump like Weaver can. I watched him in warmups of the J vs T game and he had some amazing leaps then he would lay the ball in the hoop. Pretty impressive.

I also agree with Drake he doesn't look like the high flyer type.

Weaver is an absolutely ridiculous athlete, but unfortunately his crazy leaps and dunks go mostly unnoticed since what I've seen him do in practices and warm-ups, a lot of it doesn't happen in games. Not only can he jump high, but it's explosively quick. The best is watching his help-side defense when he comes out of nowhere and blocks somebody's shot who has a noticeable height advantage on him. I'm surprised he hasn't had more of an impact statistically, but he's an amazing athlete. He might be the best athlete in the conference that you don't see a lot from in the boxscore.

I agree he took only a couple shots vs. the Johnnies, a missed dunk attempt and a deep three late in the game, and i was impressed with his shot when he did shoot. I guess when you have as much talent as the Tommies you can afford to put a kid like that on the bench.

I'd a turned that athleticism into a sweet wide receiver career at UST!  I bet he could go over DBs with ridiculous ease.

To bad UST has nobody to get him the ball!!

I thought Kofed's understudy from ROCORI is the QB at UST. His name escapes me right now. Not a bad QB though. Won the starting job over a couple of veterans.
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

So, let's be honest.  I think I have a pretty good idea.

Willy Wonka

Two things.

oAs - Is MM your editor? Luke Linz at Gustavus? Hanson could only dream!

Hypothetically speaking - since he doesn't really follow college hoops - how much would Hanson hate Nova basketball? Man, they are fun to watch though. Who dribbles into a teammates with 3 seconds left and a chance to tie? Oh yeah, a kid who steals school computers and then tries to sell them. Oops.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

yes, his name is David Sauer and he completed more passes to the Johnnies secondary than he did his WR's. He is young and needs to improve if the Tommies hope to win more games in the next 3 years.

Great pic, OAS. I think that he should change his Posting Up handle from Willy Wonka to twoarmedgustie.  :D
