watchmen: I don't venture over to the hoops board too much. Tend to stick to the friendly confines of the football board where I seem to take an endless beating.

Trouble? What sort of trouble? If you heard it on Posting Up or Post Patterns it probably is NOT true.

I heard you were in jail !! You could be right about the football board but I think I remember someone saying you had just gotten out of jail safely or something of that nature.

You gotta start following the board more closely. finsleft was just yanking my chain which is NOT uncommon. Try not to take anything too literally especially when they are talking about me (i.e. story by Willy Wonka last week from the Holiday Inn Express).

If anyone ever criticizes MIAC nicknames as being lame (Tommies, Johnnies, Gusties, etc), we can always come back with the Great Danes and the Banana Slugs (now there would be a run mascot battle to watch!!)

FYI, they were the Wheat Shockers in the early years, more recently shortened to just Shockers!

sumander - Yup, tough loss for the Sioux. SCSU played great and UND picked a horrible time to play its worst game of the year. Bad way to end it.

And if TDT tries to tell you my story is bunk again, don't believe him. He's easily embarrassed and hates when people find out inside info on his life.

Also, Tom Conboy was named second team All-Region (

) while Dan Forkrud received third team honors. Personally, I dont think Conboy was one of the 10 best players in the MIAC, let alone the entire West Region. Nevertheless, congrats to him for the distinction. Very glad to see Forkrud receive some much deserved recognition.

sumander - The Sioux lose just two seniors, though both played/started the better part of four years. They should be tough again next year, though losing the MVP should make for some interesting changes in chemistry. The preseason poll next year will have UND and SCSU splitting the votes I'd imagine.

I'll post a picture of myself from last night as soon as I get the chance. It should be good for a laugh

I'd hazard a guess that UND would have beaten NDSU more often than not this season. The Bison are, for all intensive purposes, still a D2 school. The coach seemed to rip the, um, growing process in a recent article in the Forum I saw while I was up there - things don't seem to be going all that smoothly. Finding a conference would be a good start

I can't wait for Thursday!!

I think the Bison women are finding it very tough to recruit D-1 prospects to Fargo. I agree for all intents and purposes they are still D-ll. Why would you go there if you couldn't play for the Championship? Roebuck has done a nice job at UND. I bleieve that UND has formed a committee to research the D-1 move, Though.
