WW, Saw a piece in the Fargo Forum today, That your sister was named to the D-ll All American second team! Congratulations. She had a great career.
Willy-
Congratulations to your sister! My razzing aside, it's a great honor and well-deserved, from what I've seen.
And we all know who got all the talent in your family.  ;)

Touchdown Tommy

hey fins,

Rumor has it she desparately wants to marry Touchdown Tommy.

Alright guys, this is a little off-topic, but when I saw this I really got upset and I want to know if anyone else agrees.  Below is the AP all-state girls team,  my problem is, have we reached the point of no return with the Honorable Mention list?  Let's just give every starter in the state HM all-state, then no one will feel bad about themselves.

Downey,  Hopefully those kids will both be Cobbs, and play both sports, I know Siverson frowns on that, but I think that if possible it is a great situation for the kids.
RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

I know Lucier wantes them to play football but they just want to play basketball. They have said that since I have known them. They would be great at both but I do think you have to choose one or the other because the seasons overlap.

Hey Willy...Does your sister happen to like anyone on this message board, like, more than a friend? Let me know.

What is that, the player of the year in every conference in the state? How much of an honor is that, really?

M&G - Just be thankful you didn't get that list at 1am and have to go through to pick out the players from your area. I had two hidden amongst the 100 or so names...not fun.

I offered to introduce TDT to my sister when he came back for Kirby. It involved a 5 hour car ride. He said no, making his chance for every meeting her basically non-existant -- like his current lovelife. Unless you count the 50-year-old neighbor he wines and dines every weekend...and I'm not even making this up.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

WW,

Can't say that I feel any sympathy for you. At least you have access to the AP wire at your paper. I, on the other hand, have to go out and find stories to fill my section with when it's not in the middle of a season (right now, for example, because spring sports haven't started yet.) My lead story for the paper today was about a father-daughter pro ice-fishing team! Now that's news!

Is this a harvard english class or a message board? I am assuming you got my message. I type quik and make sure the message is what i want it to say. Sort of like note taking.

Expect the Zags to knock off Duke in the final four.

JD
u just have to do what i did and tell everyone that your gonna spell werds wrong and you just dont kare if you do or knot....also back to the montana st camp thing...i only bring that up because the coaches for montana st were talkin those 7 players up so much and they are the ones that claimed them to be the 7 best...if d1 college coaches say they are the best in the state i will take their word for it...one of them ended up going to montana for a year i believe  but then transfered

WHo is next years MIAC sleeper player?  The guy that will make the most impact that nobody really knows about?

Dwyer anyone?

How about Andrew Doble?

Thats good Nites....my question was really intended as an opinion question. That means your opinion is valued and your choice has been acknowledged.

Dwyer needs to get a haircut first.  :D

MW - I realize you're just trying to revive a semi dormant board, but I think we need to see who ends up where & what off-season training does before we can even begin any "serious" speculation.  But since you brought it up, here's a list of rumors, half truths, & "takem to the bank-isms".   ;D

1) Local is out scouring the MN hinterlands & urban areas to find the next big thing for the Pipes. (One strong post player please)  ;)

I've seen both Tommy & Pipes coaches at several high school sectional games in the past week or so.

2) Mike Moberg is indeed registered & attending classes at Bethel.  My sources are guardedly optimistic that he'll be back on campus next fall.

3) Among several others, UST is recruiting 6-4 forward Josh Peltier from Cretin & 6-4 PG Eric Hostetter from Stillwater.  Hostetter could be a real find for the Tommies & push Dwyer & Brian Sames for a starting PG spot.

5)  GAC's Andrew Doble is as good of a sleeper pick as any.  He really burst on the scene in the last couple of games of the season.

6)  SJU's Brady Brink could also surprise next year.

7)  Brock Citterman will turn it loose next year for the Cobbs.

6)  Brian Ranwick will once again fall out of favor with OAS.

7)  Mose - what relation is Ryan Shimek of Prior Lake to UST's Joey Shimek?  Cousins? I always assumed they were brothers, but in your CSN news piece I got the impression that he only has one younger brother, Tommy, who is a soph at UST.

Cmob - what's the latest on recruiting efforts for Carleton?  Coach Kalland & staff have done an amazing job of consistently landing an All-MIAC FY player who becomes an integral part of their team success in the following years.
