You would be correct! Besides that snobby Ivy league type doesn't play well in the midwest! ;D ;D
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done

There's no such thing as an easy run

Martini......stirred, not shaken

Nah, I'll take a Miller Lite myself! I got over drinking cheap beer along time ago. ;D

Drake, I almost forgot about this, from Shooter's column on Sunday.

) Cretin-Derham Hall graduate Steve Sir, who has made 199 three-point field goals in 2½ seasons and has another season left at Northern Arizona, shot nearly 50 percent this season, best among NCAA Division I three-point shooters.

I happened to run into the NAU team this past winter when I was in the airport in Phoenix. Did not have the opportunity to talk to Mr. Sir though.

Yeah the good stuff - Hauenstein, Pfeiffer,  Foxe Deluxe.  Oooh yeech, Foxe deluxe flashback -  the worst beer known to mankind!  In college days one of my roommates said it tasted like it had hamburger floating in it.

Coffee or Red Bull is about as strong as I go nowadays, so it might still be Palmer after all.

I saw that about Steve Sir.  Sir's playing style was real stiff, but man could he ever shoot!

How about warm Wisconsin Premium out of the trunk of a car! :-[

It's amazing how big the players on a D-l BB team look in real life, even a mid level one like NAU.

Hey Pat, there is also an opening for an editor in Osceola. I accepted a sports editor position with Hutchinson today to work on their two times a week newspaper. It won best non-daily newspaper in 2005. The cool part is you can find my work beginning May 15 online at www.hutchinsonleader.com.

May 23-I'll be watching Lindsay Whalen destroy the Lynx. Not sure how the post-game interview thing works. Pretty cool to think I'll be sitting outside the locker room with Joe Blow and Anne Hutchinson. Oh wait, aren't they the same person?

PI,

Congrats on the job in Hutch and welcome to the Missota Conference. We might have to help each other out with some photos sometime soon. What happened to Jason Olsen? He was the sports editor there, and I talked to him at the state dance competition, but that was the last I had heard from him and he left no evidence that he would be leaving Hutch. You have any idea on that? I'm currently scrambling on trying to get a hold of Mark Setterstrom since he's from Northfield and got drafted by the Rams on Sunday. It's a mess!

Hamline got one of the big guys they wanted as 6-9 Eric Gusaas from Richfield informed Wohler he was committing to the Pipers.

hmmmm sounds like  more size in the MIAC.  He is obviously looking at playing time next year.

funballer, thanks for the confirmation on Erik Gusaas.  I think that he will have a chance to be a very good player for the Pipers over the next four seasons.  He already has the size, and his ability to knock down jumpers from 16-feet will allow for different options for Coach Wohler.

In an unrelated story, I spoke with some high school coaching friends of mine who attended the aau tournament this past weekend at Eden Prairie H.S.  They said that many of the MIAC schools were represented, including St. John's (Fogarty and McKenzie), Carleton (Hayes), Augsburg (Hannan), St. Mary's (Trewick), and Hamline (Tiers).

There do tend to be some decent players at the AAU tourneys  :D
