If cmob's participation causes odd numbers, I'll even things out...or do I make things more odd? Let me know, SDGusties.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

You're in Willy.  Oddly enough (pun sort of intended), I need 11 people to make this work for scheduling purposes.  One more person is needed and then I will post the schedule on the pick 'em board.

looking at games this weekend it looks like it could be a good start for the MIAC

for today's games i only see st. olaf losing...to Southwest MN State, however, tomorrow's games might be a little tougher....Gustavus and St. Thomas should have no trouble...St. John's could be in a dog fight depending how they start the game...and I think if Bethel has to play William Penn they will be in for a battle all night long

overall...I see a 3-1 record for friday...and then anywhere from a 3-2 to 5-0 record on saturday depending upon how Hamline handles D2 CS- Pueblo and if Bethel has to play William Penn or not

what does everyone else think?

STO will lose, we all know that! GAC should beat Buena VIsta tomorrow and SJU will beat UM-Morris. Bethel plays Dakota State today and their opponent tomorrow will be dependent on a win or loss seeing as how its a tourney so we will see what they are made of.They could end up 0-2!!  UST has a very tough game today vs. Occidental and then plays LaVerne tomorrow so they could be 1-1 or 2-0. Today's game will tell alot about them. If they lose today they won't tommorrow....but don't quote me on it.

Moberg is an Easy 6-10.  I don't know why he has been labled at 6-8??  Whoever did Bethels measuring this year must of been smoking something.  Because, like 3 or 4 of them all shrunk an inch from last years roster to this years.  Unless they measured everybody without their shoes on.  That could take an inch or two away from players. ;D

or...in trying to be sneaky they downplay their size...most teams like to list their players an inch or two taller to have teams prepare for bigger guys...but bethel may be trying to devalue the size they have to try to confuse the opponent...won't work against MIAC teams who recruited all these guys in high school and know who they are...but may surprise some teams like Dakota State, Wisconsin River Falls and William Penn

The Tommies game tonight could be a real litmus test for them.  Oxy is ranked #20 in the preseason D3 hoops polls & is favored to win their conference title this year.  Occidental also has their own preseason AA pick in 6-7 240lb post player Sam Betty.  Physically, he resembles the type of player ala 6-7 255 lb Joe Werner  of UW-LAX, that Rosefelt has struggled with in the past.  It'll be interesting to read the game reports as they come trickling in tonight.

Bet34 – I commented about a week ago regarding your team's dubious player specs.  Peter Rolando jumps from 6-7 215 to 6-7 240, & Andy Cook goes down from 6-10 to 6-9, & goes up from 250 to 275lbs?? Can he move at all?  ;)

Good luck everyone & here's to a great season!

Betty and Ike will get theirs tonight...however, it will be the play of keating and schnettler that determines if the Tommies win or not.  If Keating and Schnettler play well and Dwyer handles the rock it will be hard for Oxy to stay with UST

DP, as the hieghts of the players are very misterious :-\  the weights seemed to be right on.  Rolando has put on weight over this last summer and 25 pounds sounds about right.  Sad to say most of that does not look like it is muscle.  Same goes for Cook, he has gotten a lot bigger over the summer and most of it also not being muscle, but for some reason it seems to make him a little better.  I don't think it has hurt any of the quickness he has (if you can call it that ???), but from the times I played with him this summer and what I have heard from the players so far this year, is that the weight he has put on has made him a lot better finisher down low.  Being bumbed trying to finish is not effecting him as much now as it would in the past.  That is the rumor anyways, but both of them have definitely gotten bigger.

Anyways, excited for the season to start up!!  Go MIAC tonight!!!!

D3BO – you very well may be right, but here are the results from the last couple of times when Ike's gone up against someone who is his equal in the post:

UW- LAX 12-05:  UWL 55  - UST 45

Ike - 1-6 FGA, 0 FTA, 10 boards, 2 pts
Joe Werner - 7-16 FGA, 0 FTA 10 boards 14 pts

Lawrence 3-06: Lawrence 63 – UST 59

Ike – 4-11 FGA, 14 boards, 2 blks, 8 pts
Chris Braier - 6-14 FGA, 2-6 FTA, 12 boards, 5 assists, 15 pts

Lets' hope I'm wrong & Ike spent some time in the weight room this summer.

Hamline 91 Colorado College 84...a little too close for the Pipers...this is a Colorado College team that was 7-18 last year, lost their top 2 scorers, and doesn't have a kid above 6'4" on the roster...CC might have played out of their minds, or maybe Hamline didn't play up to par, or both...but whatever the case is, Hamline better get it figured out because they will lose once they face better teams, especially when they get into MIAC play
