WORD ON THE STREET...

is that the cobber stat person was so horrible that CAR is rewatching the game tape and having the stats to the game adjusted...from what i heard Zach "show me the goose neck" Johnson and Tommy "T-bird" Drake both had more than 1 rebound

that sounds about as bad as the man running the shot clock at bethal 2 years ago

Shot clocker at Bethel? The all-time low was the Carleton guy stealing Scotty Christianson's game-winning 3-pointer against the hated Oles in a games that cost the Carlies the goat. The dude got homered in his own gym!

Thankfully, fate shined upon them as it was returned the following season.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Due to Carelton's recent lack of presence on the boards, I think it will be quite ugly.

A 2-1 rebounding margin in favor of laCrosse is probable, and I would predict an even higher ratio.

Hopefully Carelton can muster some offense to keep them in the game.

I second that assessment.

Game Recap

Statement from MIAC on call

Crazy things happen when the teams from Northfield play for the goat. Gotta love that goat. Personally, I prefer the one thats used for football (better than the cereal bowl too).

The Oles apparently are shooting close to 20% from behind the 3, scortching!  :-\

Obviously besides continuing to do a crappy job coaching, apparently Koz can't teach guys how to shoot either?!!!

........he's a beauty, right Willy?

Cmob....are you getting your quota of triple burgers in each week? We gotta get you bulked up....make you a little tougher.

Knights get a big win over No. 21 LaCrosse tonight. Trailed 33-24 at half and chipped away at that lead the entire second half before tying it up in the final two minutes. Johnson and Phillips hit big shots in overtime to give the Knights the lead, and they never trailed over the final five minutes, outscoring LaCrosse 15-4 in overtime.

Phillips clearly has been struggling with his shot, but as a senior should do, he hit some big shots down the stretch tonight for the Knights, including a trey in overtime to give them their first lead of the night 63-60. Johnson had a great matchup inside with Joe Werner, and got the better of him. Scored 19 of his 28 in the second half, and Werner finished with 14, but only went 2-6 in the second half. They went away from him as Johnson and others fronted him to deny the entry inside. When Werner, Chris Ask (22) and T.J. Nereng (5) are all on their game, that's a very dangerous LaCrosse team. Ask stepped up in the second half with some shots, but Werner and Nereng fell asleep offensively.

This is exactly the kind of win the Knights need before MIAC play resumes after the holidays. One other note: UST had all of their coaches there scouting both teams, and a Hamline assistant was there as well.

Big 3 that Ask hit to give UWL its last lead, especially considering the fact that he was having such a miserable shooting night.

Wow, thats a real shocker! CAR gets a HUGE win. Good for the Knights. I imagine they are going to be a very tough team down the stretch in the MIAC.

Something struck me as I watched the Carleton/LaCrosse game this evening... Is it just me, or does Tommy Drake remind anyone of Rocky Balboa? The hair isn't quite the same, but just going on facial features, it struck me. Random thought, but this board gets a little dry around the holidays. Final exams, non-conference games, and no d-1 ball on tv. With a slow week at work, I'm dying with no inter-MIAC matchups!
