Cmob....are you getting your quota of triple burgers in each week? We gotta get you bulked up....make you a little tougher.

no i have not been getting my quota of triple burgers and it has effected my all around game drastically...last weekend when rollerskating to AUG a large wind gust toppled me like trailer park home in a tornado...i fell to the ground and suffered a tear in my roller skating spandex outfit...i kept battling though because its a street fight and MPLS is a tough guy town

big win for the Knights

and also

a big win for the MIAC as this shows that the MIAC maybe a stronger conference this year than some may have originally thought

i cant wait for my mexican jumping beans to try to escape the fort i put them in today...it is made of 1 block of cheese a boobie trap of melted marshemellow and some pretzels...im sure one of them will escape though cuz they are much more clever than you would expect

My congrats as well to the Knights.  Goose Neck is starting to pick up his offensive game & when he wants to, he can be an effectively annoying defender.  I'd say he's got to be the king of the flop, & the well timed elbow to the midriff this year.   ;)

Jake Phillips emerges from his recent mini-slump & is money during the 2nd half & OT last night.

The coaches must have gotten on the team on the ride back from Moorhead, because not only did the Knights win, they actually out-rebounded LAX 34-26.

When the Scots & Carlies hook up, I think people should take a closer look at Tommy Drake & Mac's Brian Ranwick.  If not brothers, I think they could certainly pass for cousins.  ;D ;)

In other news, last night the Js sweep the season series with UM-Morris - 74-56.

Sounds like the Johnnies pick up a few more injuries along the way, hopefully, none too serious.  Westman tweaked his ankle minutes into the game.  Didn't he have an injury to his ankle last year or was it his knee?

Stress fracture of the foot last year. I am not sure if this is the same foot/ankle though.

Awfully quiet up in Arden hills today.  A quick scan of the bosxcore shows that Bethel "barely" beat Martin Luther 85-73, or was it a case of  the game was never in doubt type of yawner?

One possible concern would be the play of PG Cory Laugen.  Although it looks like he shot the ball well - 4-5 from the field, 6-7 FTs, for 15 points,  he only had 2 Assists with 7 TOs.  Concern or not a big deal?  The rest of the Royals looked decent from reading the box score.

First of all, I'd like to welcome myself back to the board (please hold your applause).  Next, I'd like to welcome back T-Byrd, the real Tommy Drake who appears to be out of his sophomore slump (21% from beyond the arc last season) and is consistently yet quietly returning his offensive game to the level that showed so much potential as a freshman.  Speaking of freshman, big ups to Bryan Rossett for making a huge back cut and bucket to send the game into overtime.  I thought that the Knights, especially the youngsters really tried to force a run against Augsburg and it didn't work; the patience really seemed to pay off, and it also helped that the Knights decided to rebound this game.  That's all I got, piece(s) out from the Nasty NorfField.

From the New Ulm Journal:
QuoteBethel broke a 68-68 tie by outscoring the Knights 15-4 in a seven-minute span as the Royals escaped with an 85-73 win over MLC in nonconference basketball.

Good find PI!  No wonder the Royals didn't post a game story on their website.

Last night in nonconference play, Wheaton College of the CCIW conference in Illinois (Chicago & surrounding areas of Il & WI) lose in the last seconds to D1 Northwestern Wildcats 41-39! :o

In the process they out-rebound their D1 opponents (check this out) 36-19   & scare the mess out of Northwestern.
