I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Mose - were you listening on the net or radio?

There's still 3 seconds left in my version of the broadcast.

Maniac, It's like I told you after the UST-SJU game. Somewhere along the line they both will get tripped up! >:(

SJU & UST have let teams stick around all year.

There was no letting anyone stick around tonight as UST shot 63.5%, held Olaf to 30% and coasted to the win.

But dang 19 TOs?!?

by who? UST committed 11, Ole 10

Wake up call for the Johnnies! They obviously didn't answer the one CORD gave them Saturday!

My mistake.. My eyes must have glazed over after looking at the various box scores & got the Tommies TOs mixed up with the other team that played in NField tonight - the Cobbs.

I'm sure the Tommies appreciate the Redbirds' help but they must want to beat the Js straight up.

I'm sure you're right on that DP.... the help from SMU is nice, but it as it stands now, it still comes down to Feb 17's showdown for top seed. SJU can afford another loss and still take top seed if they beat UST.

nice win for the birds!!! This team isn't about to lay down and die, which they very well could have done after they found out big T and washington weren't going to be able to play the second semester.  Could they sneak in that 6th spot???

Drake, Good to see you are still around! Redbirds are up 2 on the J's with 5 to go in the first half. SMU is hot from beyond the arc.
A quick recap of the Carlie box score shows that Tommy Drake missed the game due to "illness."

well...i will start by saying if CAR was playing any other team in the league tonight they would have been beat by 20-30 points...it was so ugly at one point i thought the final score was going to be 47-42 or something of that nature and then both teams whent off in the last 5 minutes of the game to bump the overall score up a bit...CAR could be in some trouble as it sounds like Drake has a pretty serious illness and could be out a while

now onto my main thought about the game...Z Johnson is clearly the most tallented player on CAR and when they win he is usually the best player in those games...in all the losses that i have seen "about 4 games" (not saying he is the reason they lost their game or games as many things contribute but when your the star player on the team your play is highlighted the most) his play has been similar in not recognizing the double team quick enough, holding the ball too long and forcing up shots sometimes one on one and sometimes double teamed...that is what made Forkrud such a great player...he took open shots, made the pass when the double team was coming to catch the defense scrambling and moved the ball quickly in their offensive sets and that bennifited Johnson last season more than anyone as he thrived off ball movement off Forkrud double teams...in their game against AUG saturday Johnson moved the ball well and had good shot selection and Rosette benefited big time by putting home 20pts...Johnson is still only a sophmore and is learning but he needs to get on the fast track now that Drake may be out for a while and make his teamates better....because when he does that a defense cant focus on him as much as they would like and it will give him better scoring opportunities also

CAR missed a ton of layups tonight and it killed them...they were very good on the defensive end but just couldnt get over the hump...now they go into SJU most likely without Drake and will need a great team effort to put up a fight against the johnnies

hopefully Drake is a quick healer and recovers fast

SMU women hoops, who I seriously might be able to beat 1v5, beat the middle-of-the-pack Tommies on Saturday and now the men knock off the undefeated Johnnies???

Surely Coach Biebel is celebrating somewhere by yelling as loud as he can and running around like a crazy man.

(I wish oAs was still around to appreciate that one...)
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Coach Biebel WAS in fact at the game last night and had every right to celebrate afterwards...along with the rest of the SMU fans. It was a great game! I especially liked the chant near the end of  the game: "We got Trewick, we got Trewick!!"
