SMU takes down hamline...not sure on the final score but it was around 15 or 20...nice little streak here for the cards!!

UST lays the smack down at Macalester. 87-55 final. Sounds like Keating was absolutely filthy. 25 and 14, shot 11-16 from the field. Ike gets 20 and Schnettler 15. Conboy gets 21, but where is everybody else?

You're going to have to play D to beat the Tommies. They haven't lost yet when they've shot above 50 percent from the field, and they shot 61 percent in the first half to take a 46-28 lead at half. Woldeslassie 4 pts on just 2-11 from the field. Scots get out-rebounded 42-28 and only shoot 35 percent from the field. That's not going to win many games, especially when you're playing the Tommies. Looks like the Scots have several players with potential, but very few if any who have turned the corner to being a legitimately feared player in the MIAC.

SJU 100  GAC 64

Is this the worst loss in recent GAC history? Five Johnnies in double figures.

STO 90   AUG 74

Jon Bain scored 18 in second half.

SMU 84   HAM 70

Brad Knights (who?) had 18. Foster played 19 minutes, scored 10 and shot zero 3's.

Ooh, Ouch, Cringe, Whimper...

It's a good thing the lady Gusties won today.  Otherwise, things could have gotten real ugly around here with Willy. That's rough - a C-note?

Looks like the Js & Ts served notice today to the rest of the league.  36 (34 pts - my eyes sorta glazed over at the point differential & I miscalculated) & 32 pt blowouts.

PI - check your stats for the SMU-HAM game.

Fins, The alignment on the bandwagon seems just fine!  ;D May need a little tweaking after hitting the speed bumps, I mean Gusties! Whatever octane you filled with, make sure you put in more for Wednesday's game at BET.

Not much to report other than it was a complete thrashing in every phase of the game. The first half of basketball was easily the best half the Johnnies have played this year. Every phase of the game was working. They shot the ball well, they rebounded and played tough defense. Can't ask for much more. It wasn't like the Gusties played poorly. They just didn't play any where near the level of the J's.

I have been wondering when the Johnnies would put a team away. I certainly didn't think they would start doing it today! I only hope they can sustain this level of play for about a month! ;D

im still upset about the knights game yesterday...i think i just wont comment

on a side note....former gustie espenson gets T'd up during the eden prairie rosemount high school game which triggered a rosemount rally to over come a 9 point lead EP had...im not sure how he was on the court when he played but he is a very arrogant and cocky coach

Willy Wonka

Gusties getting T'd up, Gusties getting outrebounded by 22, Gusties refusing to play defense in allowing triple digits for the first time since the Reagon administration...VH1 could do a special about how bad this week was for GAC - Heck, I could do the commentary, since I'll have worked one day in the last 7 come Tuesday :)

At least the women's team dropped the hated Bennies tho.

Oh, and thanks for the texts, Sumander. I absolutely LOVED feeling my phone vibrate every 3 minutes with more info about how on fire the Js were  :-[
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Sumander- Now that gas is under 2 bucks, we'll keep putting the hi-test in the tank. Nice monkey stomp on Saturday! The Bandwagon is rolling!

Fins, Sounds like a plan! Who is going to drive the bandwagon on Wednesday night to BET, ROR? We need someone with broad shoulders to handle all that responsibility.

WAHOO3

Played some CSC basketball yesterday at Hamline. It was the first time I have ever been in Hamline's fieldhouse. Just wondering, but that has to be the oldest bball arena in the MIAC, is that correct? It has a lot of character, the banners from the 40's and 50's are pretty cool.

i also played yesterday...luckly i got to play on their court instead of the field house...i love that gym and i think it would be a great atmosphere for a big game...actually it is a great atmosphere i watched a sell out high school basketball game there a couple years ago...good times
