Sweet, I know how to do pictures!!!

So here is my question, if they switched jerseys and came out on opposite teams in an Auggie - St. Johns game would anyone really be able to tell???????

Good try, pretty close but I think someone had it last year when they compared Ohme to Nick Lacey.  :D

lets put this comparison to rest...if you look at some D1 girls players and WNBA players they have skills...look at Candace Parker...i guess Dunkmachince missed last year's first round ncaa tourney game where Parker caught a pass on the baseline and took 1 step and threw it down with ease, and it was a much stronger dunk than i see from some guys in the college game...also, i don't know if any of you remember the year 2000, but  that year a woman won the national 3 point shootout for a 2nd consecutive year...that means that the women's champ outshot the guy's champ...and in 2000 one of our Minnesota girls, Jenny Cafferty from Mounds View playing at Rice University was the champion and was crowned "best shooter in the NATION!"...and how about that UCONN women's team from a couple years ago with sue bird, diana taurasi and company...they may not have beaten guys teams at the D1 level, but they were fun to watch because they played basketball the way it was meant to be played...granted, D3 women's basketball, maybe even some higher level women's basketball isn't as exciting to watch...but saying that women can't play the game is absolutely ludicrous

On the women's basketball topic, here is a great achievement that happened over the weekend for GAC's Bri Monahan.

I didn't get to check the game out due to night class but I guess the final score says enough

I haven't really watched enough women's basketball to comment much on the debate. But after this evening's debacle, I do know one thing:

If the Gustie men and women squared off, I'd put my money on Boese.

Johnnies pound the Pipers 97-61.

Leiser hits for 20 in the first half and that was all she wrote. DeRock tried to repeat his comeback from last years playoff game but he couldn't do it alone. He ended up with 19 and no one else had more than 9.

CAUTION LONG POST AHEAD

Oh boy here we go,

Hoopscoop "But whats the point of arguing with a sexist pig?"

Why do you have to attack me as a person, did I attack you as a person?? NO.  My opinions are shared by 99% of men even if they wont say it.

Shescores 51 "I hope for their sake that you don't have a wife or a daughter, or sisters or any women in your life. If so, I feel bad for them that they have such a chauvinist for a husband/father/brother/son/whatever."

Once again, why are we getting so personal?  Haters gonna hate I guess.  Reguardless of how many and which kind of women I have in my life you do not know me so SLOW your role!  You called me a chauvinist but I would never call you a Feminazi or something along those lines.  I would never do that.

Also about your comment on why I have played with so many women players...... I havent, check your reading skills and reread what I wrote.  Ive played with many great basketball players and ONE WNBA player.  I dont need to play girls to "stroke my ego", it would be more of a waste of time in all honesty.

Now in conclusion, d3bballfollower, Candace Parker's baseline dunk that game was pretty good, I admit it. BUT Candace Parker's 2004 McDonald All-American Dunk Contest Win was a TRAVESTY  She puts down 3 one- handed weak dunks and gets the crown.  She shouldnt have moved past the first round and certainly shouldnt have beat the likes of J.R. Smith.  If it was based on actual dunking she wouldnt be the 6th best on any MIAC team by a long shot.

d3bballfollower I am going to have to agree with you when you said:
"I don't think any women basketball player in her right mind would claim that she could compete with a decent male basketball player. They are worlds apart on so many levels."  Tell that to Hoopscoopmiac, she said MIAC girls could tear me apart.

Augsburg over Cobbs 65-59. Linz goes for 21 and 9. Cassens hits for 19.

Now its your turn to check your reading skills because I was the one who said that. And when you say that women's sports aren't even worth watching, I take that as a personal attack on me, so I guess now we're even.

Also, your comment about 99% of guys agreeing with you is total BS. Why is the women's board on d3hoops almost entirely men? Is it because they can hardly stand to watch women play that they feel the need to post about it?
