Dwyer could barely get on the court before a foul was called!  It was one of those games that no matter what you do, it seem like the refs are out gunning for you.

Tuma and Zitlow did a nice job off the bench for UST filling in for D Town.

What is Wittwer's injury that has been bothering him the whole year? His back???

LBOW Watching him you could see the frustration. Kid seems like gamer and was pi**ed he couldn't be out there. despite not playing as many minutes he was way more effective than the previous two times I saw him play.

If the Carlies win tonight, then I'll share his injury. I don't want to provide any ammo for any opposition that remains on GACs schedule.

Something tells me you will also feel Wittwer's pain if the Carlies win.    :)

Anyone think the oles have a chance tonight? Or are Madson and Moberg going to mop the floor with Koz and company?

The way this conference seems to go I would say anyone has a chance.  It will be interesting to see how Moberg and Madson respond to the pressure of big games.

However I will say that if the game is played anything like the last time Olaf was in town the Oles have very little chance.  Moberg had 24 and 18 including 18 point in the 1st half and reduced playing time in the second.

Before we turn our attention to tonight's opening round playoff games, here's one last look back at Saturday's match-up between the Tommie's & J's from the Tribune:

High five: Weekend thoughts

1 The best: The two most enjoyable parts about Saturday's MIAC men's hoops showdown featuring St. John's at St. Thomas: 1) No media timeouts. In fact, the first timeout of the game, called by St. John's, came more than 17 minutes in. 2) The Tommies' Mike Keating, who had 21 points, 13 rebounds and was seemingly in on every key basket in a 74-59 St. Thomas victory that clinched the conference title.

2 The worst: Both teams were 17-2 in MIAC play going in, making this a legitimate rivalry game. The gym was filled to capacity more than 30 minutes before the scheduled tip-off time, and many fans -- some of them college students who might have imbibed a little of the fermented grape already that afternoon -- were pretty ticked off at being turned away at the door. My guess would be Dan Forkrud, which would help explain why Andrew Knap aka McNabb aka Crazy Carl is over near there right now. But I've been wrong before  :P

I wish. They'll have to still be playing Saturday for me to take in another game.

This work thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. In fact, it's one of the few things I'm jealous of TDT for...dude still lives off his mom's credit card and he manages to get away with it FROM FLORIDA!
