If only because its been a little slow today...I present my League Award picks. I can sense the collective anticipation  . Per my earlier post, Im presenting the 15 All Conference slots in a two team format. Minimum 3 post players per team:

bumkneez, you were pretty close for CAR with the exception of Koots. A Carleton cohort recently told me about their awardees so the rest should be coming out soon on the MIAC homepage. Jake Phillips and Tommy Drake were All-MIAC while Zach Johnson received honorable mention, Sutherland and Rosett were both on the All-First Years team and Tommy Drake was on the All-Defensive squad. The only thing I was surprised by was Kootsikas getting snubbed for the All-D team. I would've thought his tenacity would've landed him a spot for sure, especially as a senior. Not to discredit Drake, who easily could've made the team last year, but Koots was probably the defensive leader for CAR this season much like Forkrud was last year.

As far as Johnson getting snubbed, its obvious the coaches take into consideration the way he plays the game when CAR isn't 17-3 in conference. I don't think he has too many fans among the MIAC coaches, but the 10-10 record in conference didn't help the cause either. Its obvious PPG isn't everything. I thought ZJ had a chance to go all four years on the 15 man 1st team, but this season he seemed more focused with his touches than Ws or passing. I'm not going to say the kid didn't want to win or question his competitiveness, I just didn't think he realized what he was doing to his team at times (i.e. Concordia @ CAR). It will be interesting to see how next season plays out when he will likely be in a leadership position with Drake being the only senior.

i play backgammon every now and then and i think that game is rigged

sometimes horrible players make some ridiculous moves that wouldnt consistantly win like they do on the computer...its very frusterating but i cant play by myself so i have to go to the net to find an opponent

I'm not sure what I said that constitutes me being a "baby" (or "jackass" for that matter) but you guys are very touchy.  A couple comments and the whole SJU football gang is back in action.  Do you guys have a little phone chain for when this type of thing happens?  Where is Duffman? I would have thought he would join in my now.  He must have dial up internet, he really should get a second phone line so you can get him in on this.

PTPer, I thought the PPG would get Johnson in over Drake (who I think deserves that spot more, for being more versatile). Pretty unbelievable to me that Kootsikas didnt get on the Defensive Team, because he was lock down. Yeah, the fact that Johnson can be a prick probably doesnt help garner him recognition-well, positive recognition I should say  . From what Ive seen this year, I agree with your point; he seemed preoccupied with touches, shots, and irritating opposing fans and players this season. Last year, all those things were aspects of his game that he showed, but I think Forkrud kept him in line a little. This year, without that dominating and strong leadership presence, I think he got wrapped up in other stuff (and the fact that the team wasnt as success only makes that easier to do). Dont get me wrong, I think Phillips is a good leader, but a guy like Johnson seems to need a strong, vocal, dominating kind of presence to keep him focused on the right stuff, and Phillips was more of a lead-by-example, quiet kind of captain.

Now now KR, don't get yourself confused by your own run on sentences.  We both know my karma ratings decline can be traced back to an off season when the SJU faithful weren't to happy with me.  Tell me what was it like to smite me every day in the spring?  Let me guess, you put a post it up on your computer just to remind you?
