Very interesting logic...I suppose they don't stress philosophy very much up there at SJU

I think you are missing the point...I am calling your (as well as TDT's) repeated use of one arguement lame and suggesting you think of some other material.

It's not a lame argument when it keeps occuring over and over again. It's a lame playoff strategy, but a similar one has been working for thr French army for decades, so why not?

Why should they think of new material when the same old material is just as relevant and accurate today as it was 5 years ago?

Talk to your homeboy Madden, have him give the Royals a pre-game pep talk before their next playoff loss...er... game and maybe they can finally win one and then we'll be forced to come up with new material. I won't be holding my breath and I'd suggest you don't either on waiting for the 1st playoff win.

And to answer your first question, no, SJU doesn't stress philosophy that much. They stress results. Maybe your boys could learn something from the Big Red Machine and start doing instead of thinking about how great it would be to do.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Boys, boys, boys.

I propose a cage match next fall to settle this once and for all.

AMEN....and take it back to the football board...the hoops board tends to be more civil  :)

Finally KR, you are back to mid season form.  I see your point but tell me: Why dp you think it's not a lame argument?  jk

The Big Red Machine??? Please don't tell me YOU went out and got a Nebraska tattoo??? What is it with SJU and Nebraska?

I actually don't work with Madden, he is on NBC these days, I work for ESPN.

Any time you want a cage match-I'll be there.
I do post on the football board-even during the off season-so my logic is not flawed-I am not afraid to post on different boards.
This did not start with an e-mail-just sneaky smites.
If the truth hurts, oh well. And you did bring up the fact that Bethel was MIAC champ in football, but got sent to play at LAX. I believe the response was that could have happened because Bethel has never won a playoff game-sorry abut the LAME truth.
I am not afraid to say that some of my posts need editing-I suggest you try that and maybe KR would find something useful-but probably not.
(just adding this line to keep free busy trying to respond)

Don't get me started talking about sneaky smites  :)

I have had a fun evening of posting and will give it a rest.  My apologies to the board for my mindless banter.

P.S. Unless of course KR cooks up something extra fun to respond to, like the Big Red Machine

Now now KR, don't get yourself confused by your own run on sentences.  We both know my karma ratings decline can be traced back to an off season when the SJU faithful weren't to happy with me.  Tell me what was it like to smite me every day in the spring?  Let me guess, you put a post it up on your computer just to remind you?

As far as your other comments they are quite boing by your standards.  Can't you give me something better to respond to?

I'd be very embarassed if I had nothing better to do with my life than to get up every morning, hunt through to find a post by you just to smite you.

As far as what network Madden is on, I guess I forgot. The best part about watching football on TV is the mute button. There isn't a single play-by-play guy or color commentator worth his weight in aluminum foil in my opinion. The closest is Joe Buck and he's only 10% as good at football as he is at calling baseball games, which still isn't overly impressive.

I swear that if I see 1 more shot of some B-list "celebrity" (a term which is used as loosely as Paris Hilton these days) on MNF talkign about some new sh*tty movie or worthless sitcom they're in, I'm gonna hunt the head of MNF down and smash his head in using my NKOTB cassette tape.

Nebraska is not the big red machine. They are the big red flop. The Cincinnati Reds were the original Big Red Machine, Nebraska never was a machine, they were more of an assembly line with a prolonged stop in the Human Performance Improvement dept.

SJU is a machine, there may be hiccups on occassion, but the machine keeps rolling out playoff wins unlike any Minnesota football team at any level above High School.

Acie Law For President. Anyone else watching this game? Unbelievable. He was right when the camera caught him saying "thats what I do".

He is the man, but Durant is amazing. Law's shots at the end of regulation and at the end the first  OT were amazing. The first one almost scrapped the rafters!!

Watch, Laws rainbow at the end of regulation OVER Durant was dirty. filthy. Its ridiculous how, even though every defender on the opposing team knows hes the man, I expect him to make a 3 to tie the game on the last possession of regulation like that. He better be a 99 clutch on March Madness 07. But yeah, Durant is amazing. And you might even be selling him short with that superlative.

cMOBZ, I always knew you were a filthy netmeinder, but a gazillion saves? I don't think you jinxed Texas tonight, even with the chaps, it was just a good 'ole fashioned shoot out. A&M got the last one, hopefully it keeps up in March...wait a second...it is March.  :P
