Anybody know anything about Moundsview? Heard they have a nice player that could contribute to a MIAC school.

Drake Palmer

PI - it's my understanding that Mounds View is a year away.  They were 17-11 in the tough Suburban East conference & their 3 top scorers are juniors.

MV is never more than a game away.  Ziggy Kauls turns straw into Gold.  Look at Al Weaver and Tyson Bjorklund.  Man those guys were terrible until Ziggy got his paws on them.
if you didn't foul out, you weren't trying hard enough...nancies

P.S. They also have little knowledge of college basketball as their bracket picks are generally ignorant.

Eric Hugoson, guard from Fairmont- AS* - one of 20 Mr. Basketball finalists.  Sounds like Bethel might have landed him.

He has some very strong connections to Bethel  ::)

The Badgers may be on the brink of a historic collapse!! Down 25-9 with under 5 minutes to play in the first half!!! Granted it is the first half but Wisconsin is a 2 seed......I mean seriously! Down as many and 18 to a 15 seed. Could be the makings of Texas A&M CC vs. UNLV second round game!! Drake I bet you didn't have that one!!

After falling behind 10-0, then 25-7, the Badgers closed out the first half on a 12-2 run.  They're now within 4 with about 12 to go.  We'll see if they can escape the 'comeback' fate of Notre Dame (down 54-34 with 12 to go, they went on a 22-3 run, but it apparently used up their 'gas'; Winthrop closed out the game on a 12-1 run of their own to win 74-64).

I knew that without Brian Butch the Badgers could struggle, but I certainly didn't expect this!  I'm one of those few Minnesotans that actually like Bo Ryan & the Badgers.  But their uniforms are very, very, uugggly!!

Ypsi- that Winthrop win over Notre Dame shocked me almost as much as the Duke loss last night!! :o  The Irish looked really tough last week against G-town, or mebbe the Hoyas are not as tough as I thought, or Winthrop is for real!  ;D

Winthrop & Belmont, two of the less impressive sounding college names out there.   Sounds like an old money law firm back in Boston.

Phew, the Badgers pull the bacon from the fire!

From the great sounding name department - Texas A&M CC's Manuel "Scooby" Johnson

I picked the Winthrop win, but chickened out on picking Duke (a mere shell of their usual selves) to lose.

After scoring SEVEN points in the first 15 minutes, Bo Ryan's boys scored 69 in the next 25 to win by 13.  Brian Butch WAS back in the line-up, but I forgot to notice how well he did.

Ypsi, Butch was CLEARED to play for that game, but did not get on the court. Nor did he play in todays game.
