Mafia...

What is that supposed to mean?

I admit the Badgers are not the same without Butch...and that is one reason they lost...but give credit where it is due...UNLV is a good team...and they played better down the stretch...I was there first hand to watch.   By the way Butch was on the bench and suited up for both games, wish he could have gone...oh well...The Badgers will take a major step back next year, no doubt about it...

Pretty soon we will be hearing recruiting news I hope...I expect the J's led by bulldog recruiter Pat McKenzie to make a haul...There are many positions up for grabs on that Johnnies roster...

Local or any one else for that matter, I heard a rumor that 5'7" Kyle Townswick of Willmar is headed for SJU? Kid can shoot the lights out but his size would be a liability.

sumander - Don't know if that rumor is true or false.  I have however seen Kyle play and he can score in many ways.  His size is a question mark as he's only 5-7.  Unlike past MIAC guys who have had success at that position with that size he's quick but not lightning quick like Abe from MAC, etc.  Either way it would be a nice get for the Johnnies.

Speaking of recruiting classes, I expect both the Johnnies and the Pipers to bring in some talented players and a good number at that.  Based on what I've heard both futures are looking bright.  Hamline, it sounds like, is bringing in a mix of high school and junior college players to go with DeRock and Thrasher.  And I've seen Pat Mckenzie out working his tail off all year for SJU.

Back to work I go.  I will be taking some time off to attend the state tournament later in the week.  I will offer up any scuttlebut for the Drake Palmer's of the world when I return.  ;)

Ironically, enough that is the exact quote I used when assessing him!  :D

it means it is silent on this board like it was in green bay 2 years ago when the lowly tennessee titians went into green bay and completely dominated...and then the announcer in the game said "and the silence you hear...is lambeau field...a clip that is played many times on kfan

Ok...gotcha...yea there has not been alot to cheer about at Lambeau lately...however acquiring Moss would change that dramatically.  Say what you want about him, but when he makes plays his team wins...

Drake Palmer

First of all -  congratulations to Isaac Rosefelt & Bryan Schnettler.  Nice recognition for outstanding careers!

I picked the Winthrop win, but chickened out on picking Duke (a mere shell of their usual selves) to lose.

After scoring SEVEN points in the first 15 minutes, Bo Ryan's boys scored 69 in the next 25 to win by 13.  Brian Butch WAS back in the line-up, but I forgot to notice how well he did.

Ypsi, Butch was CLEARED to play for that game, but did not get on the court. Nor did he play in todays game.

Thanks for the clarification - I guess that explains why I didn't notice his performance! :-[

Drake...who told you about that?  Did Ike do all the editing?  And there was some real talent there on camera...it almost makes me feel bad about telling my favorite Tommy-Johnny joke:  "how do you get a tommy girl in your room?  Grease her hips and push like hell"

Almost that is...::)

Seriously...that was some good stuff...very creative

There is some yeah, babys.  :P

In the Trib story it mentioned his passion for making music videos.

I was most impressed with Schnettlers rapping and dancing moves!!  could that maybe lead him to a career on broadway???

concordia of the north

were you people aware that Jake Philipps and Abe W. were the only two members of the MIAC to win spots on the d3hoops all-week teams this season?

the UMAC had just as many kids receive that nod.  Duransky from Morris and some sophomore from northwestern.

I have therefore concluded that the UMAC is as talented as the MIAC.  that's math.

Yeah you're right the UMAC is as talented as the MIAC....and the math does back that up....oh wait the MIAC was 11-5 in the 2006-2007 season.  But I suppose the 6 game difference was a fluke.  ;D

I believe the correct phrase would be "It's science!" At least that's what the LL football board says to back up any outrageous claims they might make. Personally, I like it...but not as much as Ike's videos. I don't care who you are, that's good stuff.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.
