Miacsuperfan,

I watched LS and Buffalo play yesterday, and I hope that was not Soule's best day, otherwise he isn't their best player. His shot selection was awful and spent more time woofing than he did playing. It was a very physical, beat 'em up type game which I'm not surprised by (9 of South's players were on the football team). There was really only one call from the officials that bothered me. Logan Flannery and Buffalo's guard were both going for a loose ball, the buffalo kid dove over Flannery for it and Flannery gave him a forearm shove to the floor. It was a cheap shot, and the Buffalo kid got called for an intentional foul!!!! It was said on here before, but South is a bunch of crybabies who think they deserve every call to go their way. They literally complained about EVERY call instead of just playing, and Soule led that charge. Also keep in mind that Buffalo won that game without their best player and leading scorer, who sprained his ankle trying to grab a rebound after the whistle, tough break.

Enough about HS ball, just watched Tubby Smith's press conference and I'm officially on his bandwagon. That guy is a class act and has the look in his eye like he knows he can win here. If the Twins weren't here, I'd say let's skip the summer and go straight to November!

i would agree with you that iowa may be a more attractive job but michigan has tried to live off their name alone too long and now they are paying for it...they have some of the worst facilities in the nation right now for college hoops

i went to the press conference today for tubby...i loved it...chanting tubby's name over and over made my day

also stopped by steak knife in dinkytown on 14th and 4th...if your looking for a good philly cheese steak sandwich...thats the place to go my friends...wow it was good!

Ummm...travel much? Maybe 3 times on one play?

Big Ewing must be putting those millions he "earned" to good work.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

When you see one of your final 4 teams almost lose, you tend to overlook small things like a player picking up his pivot foot. ;D

what's a bigger news item: the 1.1 seconds disappearing in the Memphis/A&M game, or the clear traveling violation overlooked on Green's winning basket in the georgetown/vandy game?
if you didn't foul out, you weren't trying hard enough...nancies

The 1.1 was legit. The ball didn't bounce out, thus they had to wait until it came down the second time.

The missed travel was redic. I didn't expect Vandy to win, but to lose like that is completely uncalled for. Kid changed his pivot foot like three times.

Yeah, Gumbel and Kellogg broke it down pretty well at the end of the night. The 1.1 seconds makes sense.

Next time they should throw a better pass, I guess.

what was the breakdown?

i shut the tv off and left the room in disgust.  if there is one trend i don't like, it is teams taking three point shots on every single possession over the last three minutes of the game. it is so stupid.

but, what was the breakdown?

The real travesty is that CBS showed the Butler/Florida game instead of the Vanderbilt/Georgetown game.

i agree that 1.1 was right...but...i didnt like the fact that in real time the one ref was raising his hand and blowing the wistle calling the ball out of bounds on the first bounce...i dont think they should use replay to over rule that...the ref made the call thats what it should be unless the 3 refs come together and discuss and one of them had a better angle on the play and then over turn it...cuz i think if you use video to review that you might as well use video to review the last play of the g-town vandy game and give vandy the W...but thats just my take
