Anyone see that Winona St. game?   Some of that "goopher (football) magic" must have rubbed off on Winona when they played the U of M in that exhibition game 

Perhaps Mason took over the coaching duties in the last few seconds

Buf, yeah that was quite a finish. Improbable and exciting are more than understatements for what happened. Barton ends the 56-game winning streak by scoring at the buzzer to win 77-75. Winona was up by seven points, 74-67, with 45 seconds left in the game. Barton (Elite Eight MOP Anthony Atkinson, actually) then proceeded to outscore Winona 10-1 to take the title. Very uncharacteristic of the Warriors to let a game slip like that, theyre usually extremely tough with the basketball and clutch at the line in crunch time (Thursday night as the latest example). Malvik gets picked just outside the 3 point line with about 4 seconds left, and Atkinson goes 3 quarter court for Barton to lay it in JUST before the horn. Clownshoes. Definite clownshoes.

That is very true. I did actually see him shoot a hook shot in yesterday's game though. It may have been, personally, the first nondunk I have seen Oden make all year.

Some college hoops, Nascar at Bristol (not a huge race fan, but the short track is the best) and then the Gophs vs Da Sue at 5 p.m. I love Sundays.

to all...yes Green traveled and yes Oden committed an intentional foul at the end of the Xavier game that was not called...so its a tainted tournament right?

Too bad for the Winona State kids...the second turnover is understandable, the first of the final 45 seconds, the lazy inbounds pass which turned into a 3 point play was not...that was the major mistake and it cost them in the end....

Heard a hot rumor today...that Jon DeRock had a falling out with Barry W and is going to transfer to Southwest state...girlfriend goes there I guess...Piperinsider, can you confirm???

in one of the front page articles the management listed their power conferences.  oac, odac, and wiac were on there along with three others.  i can't find the article and i'd be pleased to be reminded of the other three.
