It was a nice run:

Freshman guard Tyler Nicolai scored 22 points and St. Thomas outscored Hamline 5-0 in the final 3:00 and pulled out a 72-64 victory in MIAC men's basketball play Monday night at UST's Schoenecker Arena.

The Toms trailed 36-33 at halftime. The game was tied 48-48 with 10:30 to go when the Tommies used a 10-0 run to take the lead to stay, capped by two treys by Joe Scott. The Pipers later pulled within 67-64 with 3:03 left but a runner by Tyler Nicolai and a 3-pointer by Scott pushed the lead back to eight. Scott, the Toms leading scorer on the season, was scoreless through the first 31 minutes.

Carl Hipp had a double double for the Pipers with 16 of his 22 points in the first half.

Edit: You really have to be impressed with Hamline right now. For 37 minutes on the road, Hamline gave UST all they could handle. I'm pretty proud of the alma right now. And, that's me actually being serious.
