Not that it matters, but just to clarify, I do think he could be a good player. I was simply pointing out that there are probably more reasons behind his lack of playing time than us D3Hoops posters know about.

Not so fast there young fella, some of us might still be around kicking it. At least a little bit.   

Although not a full slate of games, we've got games involving teams from the MIAC every weekend between now & the first of the year.

Dec. 15th - Scholastica @ Augsburg
                 Concordia @ UM- Moorhead

Dec. 22nd – SMU @ Loyola – Chicago (can you say ouch??)

Dec. 28th – Gusties @ Springfield College & UMASS Boston
Dec 29th –  St., Johns @ Green Bay Holiday tourney vs. UW-Whitewater/ & TBA
Dec. 29th – MAC @ Northwestern

I haven't a clue as to whether or not he's a good player, but the mere mention of his name (or in this case, simply alluding to it) seems to generate a lot of posting activity.

Listen Scots, I personally never made a comment regarding whether or not I believed he was a good player or not. I only was attempting to determine what caused him to have this outburst.

While I was waiting for the Friday traffic to die down before hitting the semi-frenzied holiday crowds, I stumbled across this thread in "Multi-Region" basketball Topics.  It seems the notoriety of one of our league members is starting to gather some national attention:

St. Mary's in Minnesota is in the throes of depression on campus (perhaps).

Then men are now 0-8 and 0-4 in the MIAC. Their next game in December 22 against D-1 Loyola of Chicago. Ulp.

The women are 0-6 and 0-4 in the MIAC and don't play again until January 2.

Both the men's and women's hockey team have losing records as well.

By the count In the "Undefeated & Winless" topic, there are 20 19 teams left that remain winless.  It's a good thing for us they didn't also single out 0-6 Augsburg.  Who knows maybe the Dawgs will be able to right the ship on Saturday against CSS.

I'm not too worried about SMU going winless in either gender; betwen trewick & peterson, they have 2 good coaches. I dont see the SMU men in the playoffs this winter, but they will win at least 5 MIAC games.

My hoops watching has been limited so far this year, but I should get back into the swing of things come Jan. That means more posting from the MIAC miser...in three weeks.
