Snow - good job doing some heavy lifting & posting for this time of the year.

And anytime of the year is right for Cmob to drop some knowledge nuggets on us. The MIAC & UMAC pizza analogy – that was deep.  (Sorry TH4L-  :o ;D )

And thanks to Greg Sager, I think I've found a new signature line.
----------------------------------------------------
Prof – you bring up some good points with your "crafty veteran" & athletic, quick youngsters post.  Now bear with me since I've only seen Hamline play once, but who do you consider the "quick youngsters" on Hamline's team? Carl Hipp is a nice, athletic post and is quick for his position, but which of the other newcomers are quick?  Brandon Hayes is reasonably quick but after that I'm drawing a blank.  Nick Carroll has been a pleasant surprise for the Pipes but I would not consider him a quick player.

Having said this, I am looking forward to watching the Pipes again to see just how the heck is FY Eric Clute getting to the FT line so much?  The first time I saw him play against the Oles I wasn't that impressed with his first step or quickness, yet he still went off and shot 13-14 from the charity stripe.  He must be doing something "crafty" to draw as much contact & get so many fouls called on his opponents.  Usually frosh are the ones getting called for charging fouls instead of getting to the FT line.

From his breakout game against STO, Clute's earned a POW award & is currently 2nd in the league in FT attempts behind Bethel's Tim Madson.  Madson has gone to the FT line 68 times in 8 games & has made 61 FTs for a sharp 89% accuracy rate.  Clute is at 50 attempts in 8 games and has converted 41 of them for an excellent 82%.  To average 6 FTs/game is good for anybody, let alone a freshman who just finished his first semester in college!

Well, it's your fault for trying to drag logic into it.

It ain't about logic, son ... it's all about spandex, rollerskates, and greasy food.

YOU SING IT BROTHER GREG!!! +K

im devoted to this message board to solve all the worlds problems...logic and spelling are 2 things i dont really care too much about...they are both the square root of all evil...think about it...if you go on microsopht word they correct all your spelling...word is slowly adding more and more features until one day they will have a living robot in your house that reads your mind and just types it all up for you and before you know it the robots will try to take over the world...if that happens i will have to get the URSSFF (underground roller skating society freedom fighters) together and fight for the freedom of the world...children would read about the "great battle of the buldge in spandex" for years and years...its a dangerous world out there and i need to make sure every boombalahty has an opportunity to witness me in a roller skating race or watch me eat a tripple burger...its also a very complicated world but sometimes it is as simple as frozen pizza vs delivery...or spandex vs extra snug spandex to give me some extra speed around the corners

its okay AO i still like you...northwestern just doesnt have a class about my theorys on life like most colleges do...you will learn through this message board the importance of stuff cuz i like stuff

on a side note...im going to check out some high school basketball tonight at burnsville high school...it should be a track meet...both teams (bville and kennedy) love to run and gun and apply full court pressure

Aaah, yes, without the writer's strike, we wouldn't get a chance to re-live a memorable musical moment with Justin Timberlake. SNL ran a repeat episode last weekend that featured this Emmy award winning song. Still funny a year later!

I look at Kujolic as being quick, although his playing time has diminished to very little.  I see FY Adam Eagan and Jr. Hayes as quick.  I see Carrol being more of a crafty vet than a young athletic player, though he still has a long ways to go.

It just seemed to me that in my experiences, freshman usually come in with energy and athleticism and loave to just run up and down and jump and dunk and shoot.  Then as then get older i don't know if it has to do with their bodies not being able to sustain themselves or if they wore down, or if they just wise up and realize that those things don't win games.  Then later in their career they use the "old man" moves or the "men's league" moves.  Some guys mature into vets, while others go through all 4 years as a youngster.

AO, i swear there must be a UMAC board, i can look up the link for you..... http://www.d3sports.com/post/index.php?topic=2698.120
There you go, enjoy. ;D

Things heating up as winter rolls around.

C-Mob you have any ties to Burnsville or Kennedy or are you just watching some ball?

Willy Wonka

AO - As TDT is want to tell you on the football boards...please get a life and/or go away. The arguments have all been laid out before you. Whether you choose to accept them or not, please take it away from these boards.

Anyway...

A buddy showed me the following link that some of you might find interesting. For $25, you can even check out Wonka is his glory days — I'd suggest the Hanover game :)

I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

AO

Taking TDT's advice doesn't seem like a great idea to me, but whatever.  The UMAC-MIAC discussion has been done for a while now, just be happy that Gustavus managed to get past Bethany this year and move on.

Were those Gustavus games produced for TV, or are they just selling you the single angle filmed by a manager for $25?  Still would be fun to see anyhow.

VOJ

Im kind of posting to post...since the MIAC was way down...I know the J's are looking forward to their holiday test in Wisconsin...the way St. Norbert is playing it looks like an incredibly strong field...not sure about Rockford

sumander

VOJ, I hope the J's don't get monkey stomped out there!

Up against Whitewater in the first round who beat Point in the first WIAC conference game of the year!

Maybe have to wander over to the WIAC board and see what we can expect out of WW.

i have a couple ties and it was a good game to go watch...kennedy's starting 5 are tough...no bench though and a couple of the starters have trouble keeping their emotions in check...bville has the high flyer clark so it was a fun game to watch

you might have a tie as well and not know it

I see in Frank's Blog that WBHR extended their broadcasting agreement with SJU for another 5 years!

Congrats VOJ!
