saint mary's Cardinals are the biggest disappointment of the the year!!! easpecially considering the talent that they have they should be in the top 4 right now

Don't be fickle.  How can you say they're disappointing?   ??? Last I checked, they had won a game.   :P

last time i checked the only conference game they should've lost was the CAR game, every game they have lead most of it and should have won but the young team with no leaders cant close.  hopefully its a building year, only really losing one senior they should start moving up next year.  i havent given up on them completely as i do expect to see them win some more games this year and move out of the bottom three teams.  they have to beat the auggies tomorrow night, and by beat them i mean blow them out if they want to gain any confidence.  A win is a win, but a blow out will do more for their morale.

It always seemed to me that SMU was so close to becoming a great team. Are they just really close, as in there is the chance they'll improve this year and come back, or are they close, as in, wait until next year?

How did SMU do against Winona State? I know UST beat them, just wanted to compare.

Sir Charles: Yeah, that we weren't on a higher floor.

i went to the burnsville rosemount basketball game tonight...rosemount is horribly coached...i was very embarrassed to be a rosemount alum tonight...the new rosemount coach is horrible and has no idea what he is doing

the final score was 103-80 bville in regulation

burnsville also called the dogs off with about 7 minutes left in the game

MIAC RECRUTING NEWS

rosemount gaurd mark wieloch who scored his 1000th point earlier in the week seems to have his schools narrowed down to the gusties and the STO...with SJU still having an outside chance

Ha! They got beat by around 60...and caused a few SMU posters to rethink the bandwagon.

What are the chances you bring Shocker out of retirement for a rendevous (sp?) with his cousin for Monday's game? I'm going to try to hit both games, but would LOVE for you to bring me a tripple burger to munch on while watching Goose practice his, umm, necking in warmups.

Hey I'm new to the board. I was wondering if anyone thinks that Bethel can turn it around and move back to the top where they were picked to be before the season started, since they just came off an impressive win against a tough Concordia team at Concordia which can be tough place to play due to the long drive?

thefightingscots

yea st thomas beat winona st, st mary's got creamed, and yet st mary's should've beaten st thomas.  Anyone can beat anyone on any given night, and i havent jumped off of mary's wagon or my scots, i think they will both improve greatly the second half of conference play.  Mac however it will be tough to win with only 2 good players, the rest are average at best. St mary's on the other hand has the talent to do damage in the league and be the spoiler of playoff hopes for a few teams with some wins.  especially running and pressing the way that they do, whenever they decide to put all the elements together (meaning playing Carr with Hollan and Wright, along with Cormier, and anybody else except the big guy Rohr) they will blow someone right out of the water.  Wright and Carr definately fit the style of play as wright has proven, and Carr proved very well in high school.  I'm sure if coach T-Bird actually gives him a chance to do something he will prove all of his enemies on this board that he is a good ball player.

bethel could be a good team, but losing the stars from last year hurt and they didnt know how to deal with it.  They will improve im guessing but definately not a top 3 team in my opinion

Sparticus-dttyd

Also......I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with Clute from Hamline. Is he hurt since he didn't play against Carelton?

I think top 4 might be a little high...however they have the talent to be in the top half, but it takes a little more than talent

BU can always rebound later in the season. It always seems to happen that a team comes back near the end of the season and gets hot. BU wasn't ranked as high as they were for nothing.

WW- Are you going to the game Monday? Not sure what my plans are as of yet. Good luck with your...you know, problem.

No, I'd invite you to a game I'm going to listen to on KRBI, the voice of the valley (RIP). Or maybe I was asking you to bring me a tripple burger in the Wing...

Make it happen.

What happened to the Goose this year?  Granted he wasn't a huge contributor last year but he did play 13 minutes a game with 5 starts. This season he has played in only 9 games, starting in 0, and is averaging only 6 minutes per contest? I wasn't expecting a huge year but I was at least expecting him to contribute to the depleted Pipes.  Is he hurt or did he just get replaced by Hipp?

Edit:  FEMI 4 MVP Bandwagon

1st in FG % 62%,  1st in REB 11.1 per game,  15th in Scoring 14.2 per game,  1st in O-REB 3.5 per game,

We should just give him the award now  ;D ;D

Are you actually serious about Femi for MVP? MVP means most valuable player and the last time checked the auggies are tied for last and have only two win wins this entire year. If he was so valuable the auggies wouldn't be underachieving so bad. Now I know that the MVP doesn't have to come from the best team but it should at least come from a respectable team. Maybe Luke Linz, Tim Madson, Conboy, or Wittwer should be the names people are looking at for that award.
