The Duke/UNC game was pretty good- it looked a lot like games of the past. UNC had all the better athletes, while Duke had all the guys with the better fundamentals and the better shooters. UNC couldn't hit a shot to save their lives- they make a couple more and they are in the driver's seat. Duke was really even-keeled tonight, appearing very deep and versatile. Dickie V made a great point that all the Duke guys could handle the ball, making them difficult to isolate in particular parts of the court.

Of course, UNC had a big-time player out with an injury, and who knows how that could have thrown them off.

Can't wait for the rematch on March 8th.

Gusties dominated tonight. Look at the final and then consider SMU was up 21-19 at one point.

Got some interesting info on the Cards roster situation that I'll save until tomorrow, to make sure it doesn't get lost in the game recaps.

The Tommies get 11 3-pointers in the win over the Royals. Defense wins you games and championships, not trying to out-shoot teams. Joe Scott for MVP? I love how this guy gets his shot within the offense and finds a way to make them. 6-of-13 from 3 land, wow. Viau gets 12 and 10, he's very solid. Nicolai is a stud, enough said.

Nice win for the Tommies. If Bethel could figure out what defense means, they might be a good team.

What the heck is going on in the pipes rotation?  anyone have a clue.  DunKujolic and Clute don't log any minutes, injuries maybe, i don't know.  But Concordia helps itself big time with this win in the standings while pretty much eliminating the Pipes, unless a they have a 5-0 run in them that no one knows about. 

WW- Duke sucks? they haven't been spectacular as of late but this year they are outplaying bigger more athletic teams as gac backer pointed out.  I just wish the game would have come down to a buzzer beating, its just better when its exciting till the end.

Not to get involved in a GAC civil war(should we call this Gutie on Gustie crime?)...anyway, didn't Luol Deng leave early...how about Elton Brand, and Josh McRoberts ring a bell?  Oh how about William Avery...washout guard with the Wolves?  Those are off the top of my head...should I go look for a few more?   As for chest thumping...every program has at least one guy if not more who does that crap...

Duke...no titles since 2000-01...hope that trend continues...oh and you can lump Notre Dame in with Duke...although Mike Brey might be the lone Coach K disciple who has done anything...but that is not saying much...Its more the Notre Dame FB that I am not a fan of...

Is it just me, but is Tyler Hansbrough a terrible defender? I mean, he gets lots of boards, but every time his guy has the ball, it seems like he's a liability.
